| Petroleum coke is the major by-product of petroleum processing (coking technology). With many distinctive physicochemical and physical and mechanical properties, It has been used widely in many fields, such as production of graphite, smelt, chemical process, etc. Now, most low sulfurated quality petroleum coke is used to manufacture graphite electrode, medium and high sulfurated petroleum coke is mostly used as fuel, this process not only wastes the resource, but pollutes environment as well. Composition of petroleum coke is similar to that of coal, so, it is a good method to gasify petroleum coke to produce chemical raw material. It is practical to study the method to produce chemical raw material from petroleum coke in fixed bed gasification stove.Because of this, in this paper the petroleum coke from Yangzhi processing plant was used as raw material, the desulfuration and combustion property of petroleum coke were studied firstly, in order to provide reference data for industry experiment, then the gasification technology to produce water gas and CO from petroleum coke was studied in self-made fixed bed gasification stove.The studies of this thesis mainly include the following aspects:1. The desulfuration agent was added in petroleum coke and burned togather, the efficiency of desulfuration was studied by analysis of quantity of sulfur in cinder. When the mole ratio of desulfuration agent to sulfur in petroleum coke arrived at 3, the proportion of desulfuration reached more than 80%.2. The effect of desulfuration agent and different gasification agent to petroleum coke combustion were studied with Thermal analysis apparatus The desulfuration agent can catalytically facilitate combustion of petroleum coke.3. The gasification process of petroleum coke from Yangzhi processing plant in self-made fixed bed stove was studied. The result show that the ignition temperature of the petroleum coke is in the range from 405 to 430 ; Under the process conditions in this paper the phenomenon of bird nest do not exist in the gasification process of the petroleum coke.4. The effect of charging-up quantity, gasification temperature, steam flow rate and strength of blow on component of production gas were studied, and based on this, the suitable process conditions were decided to gasify the petroleum coke in the stove. The conditions are showed in following: the gasification temperature is from 1100 to 1200 , the steam flow rate is 7.5 kg/h, the charging-up quantity per time is 4 kg, the strength of blow is 654.7Nm3/m2.h. The desulfuration was studied based on the conditions. The result showed that when the mole ratio of desulfuration agent to sulfur in petroleum coke arrived at 4, the proportion of desulfuration reached 43.7% The sum quantity of CO and H2 in production gas reached about 77%5. The material and heat balance were calculated. The result proves the accuracy of experimental data; 2.02 Nm3 water gas can be produced from the petroleum coke per kg, and the thermal efficiency of whole process is 59.93%,6. It is feasible to produce CO from the petroleum coke continually using blending gas of air and CO: as gasification agent The suitable process conditions to produce CO from the petroleum coke and blending O: and CO: are showed as following: the flow rate of CO: is 2Nm3/h, the flow rate of O: is 2 7Nm3/h, the gasification temperature is 1350+ 10 , the charging-up quantity per time is 5kg Under the conditions, the quantity of CO in production gas can reach 75%; the quantity of CO is more than that in industry production gas from furnace coke.7. The desulfuration was studied in the process to produce CO. The result showed that when the mole ratio of desulfuration agent to sulfur in petroleum coke reached 4, the proportion of desulfuration reached 41.2%. |
