Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa is a variation of Ulmus pumila L. It is an indigenous plant in Otingdag Sand Land, they have better adaptability. They have every impotant effect in keep the ecosystem's variety and father desertification. Recently years, Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa is growth wither and renewal difficulty. If we want to solve this problem, we should research connection between Ulmus pumila and environment in first. In Summer and Autumn 2008, author of this paper investigates distributing, growth of Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa and soil nutrient by sample belt, sanmple square and no sanmple. In room, it analyses 8 index of 192 soil samples. It analyses the correlation between distributing, growth of Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa and landform, gepgraphy station, soil nutrient, soil pH value, soil containing water or moisture by SAS software.Result is following facets.1) According to analyses distributing density of Ulmus pumila in different type of site condition, the result is the highest is sand dune leeward, second is sand dune peak, third is sand dune aweather, the last is flat between sand dunes. According to number and distributing frequency, the result is the highest is flat between sand dunes, second is sand dune leeward, third is sand dune aweather, the last is sand dune peak. According to different gepgraphy station, the most is middle part of Otingdag Sand Land. It is reduce gradually to east and west. The correlation is very small between distributing density of Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa and herbaceous species, herbage canopy , soil containing water or moisture, soil pH value, soil total nutrient. The correlation between Ulmus pumila L.var.sabulosa distribution and soil available nutrient is conglomeration distributing tiptop, second is sparsity distributing, last is single distributing.2) The correlation between Ulmus pumila growth index and type of site condition same as distributing density and type of site condition. Ulmus pumila growth indexs is increaseingly from east to west. The correlation is obvious between herbaceous species, soil pH value and Ulmus pumila growth index. Ulmus pumila growth indexs and soil total potassium values, herbage canopy is negative correlation. Soil containing water or moisture, soil total nutrient except total potassium and Ulmus pumila growth indexs is no correlation.
