Reaumuria soongorica(Pall.)Maxim.,a shrub,is the dominant species in arid and semi-arid areas. It survives the condition of extreme arid and high salinity. In this paper,we measured pollen germination vitality of R.soongorica, distance of dissemination, the movement direction after the release of pollen and spread of pollen. Genetic diversity of R.soongorica was studied by the ISSR molecular markers. Spatial distribution of the genetic variation of R.soongorica was analyzed with the spatial autocorrelation analysis. The main results were summarized as follows:1.R.soongorica is mainly wind-borne pollination. The major factors that influence the spread of pollen including the local wind speed, wind direction, slope, the shape and size of their own pollen.Strong pollen vitality of R.soongorica is consistent with the characteristics of wind-borne pollination.2.Basing on inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR)markers,we studied genetic diversity of 28 R.soongorica populations in northwest of China.Fourteen ISSR primers amplified a total of 155 fragments of which 137 fragments were polymorphic.Genetic diversity analysis showed that the PPB,Nei's gene diversity (H_e)and Shannon's genetic diversity index(â… )were 88.39%,0.2846 and 0.3499 respectively. The results showed that there were a high genetic diversity and rich genetic variation in R.soongorica populations.Genetic differentiation index(Gst) intra-population was 0.267,which suggested that inter-population variation occurred.3.The spatial structure of R.soongorica was analyzed by approachs of equal gene frequency correlograms and equal distance interval correlogram.Moran's I value showed that most of ISSR locations were randomly distributed, but a few of ISSR locations had a faint spatial structure. These results were linked with the proliferation and breeding characteristics of R.soongorica.In summary, the spatial pattern of genetic variation in R.soongorica populations was a combining result of gene flow, natural selection, distance isolation and breeding mechanism.
