RNAi(RNA interference)is a discovery of a naturally occurring biological phenomenon recently, which refers to complementary double-stranded RNA-mediated degradation of the target mRNA or inhibit translation of target mRNA,phenotype led to transcriptional silencing, is a the ancient and highly conserved biological phenomena. It hava a wide range of applications in the study of gene function and gene medicines, so it is one of the hot biological research issues in recent years.According to the basic principle of RNAi, using bioinformatics theory and methods, we find a large number of siRNA in model organismin C. elegans mRNA introns by computer programming, also get the corresponding target genes of siRNA. Statistics of these siRNA distribution in the C. elegans genome, It show that there is a endogenous siRNA-mediated pathway in gene regulation. Based on this issue, we constructed a local Gene Ontology (GO) analysis system, for endogenous siRNA gene we found that the most significant biological process function is embryonic development, the most significant cell composition is the integration of the cell membrane and the molecular function was acyltransferase;for the target genes of siRNA, the most significant biological process functions is chromatin modification, the most significant cell composition is integrated in the cell membrane, and the most significant molecular function is histone lysine N'methyl transferase activity. It can be seen, in the process of biological evolution, the old siRNA regulation network still remains in the genome, and also play an important role in embryonic development.
