Yaodi Pao Zhuang is a book chiefly composed by Fang Yizhi.It presents a series of new characteristics with widely evaluating on the comments of the successive dynasties on Zhuangzi according to the ideology of the ideal persons from Yao,Shun,Yu,King Wen,King Wu,Zhougong to Confucial included in the book of Yi,combining the thoughts of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism in order to construct a new kind of real Confucianism.The book is composed by so many persons with obscure ideas and complex method.It makes it more difficult for the readers to grasp the real meaning and aim of the writers expressed in the book.The aim of the resarches on the book is to be helpful to the readers to know the real meaning of the writers,the real purpose of the book and the real academic tenet of Fang Yizhi.The researches are made up of two sections,first is the analyses on the disciple,family study,personal life experience,works,and the different assumed names of Fang Yizhi.The real meaning of the ideas included in is to be found out,the representation methods to be summarized,the answer to the question of the contradiction between the ideology and his behavior of Fang to be given,his academic tenet to be defined,centering around Xiaoyaoyou,Yaodi Pao Zhuang,also considering the rest of it.The ideology presented in the book is the epitome combined with the disciple,family study and his own thought.The arise,development and mature of it are closely related to Fang’s hobby,pursuit and life experience.The researches aim to reveal its origin and the course of its arise,development and mature of the chief composers’ideas,with the analysis on Fang’s life experience,works,and the implied meanings of different assumed names.It is the most impotant way to analyse the Two Letters of PaoZhuang,Dongxi Jun and Xianghuan wu ji,completely written by Fang Yizhi himself with the mature and systematized ideology,for us to know the real meaning of his thought and to define his academic tenet.It is the feature peculiar to the researches different from the other ones,too.It is to know Fang Yizhi’s ideology with the characteristics of his comments about Zhuangzi,combining the thoughts of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism according to the main ideas of the book,Yi and Zhongyong,his ideal of realizing the Common Society owned by all the people,by the way of knowning the rules of both nature and mankind and applying them on the civil affairs,his aim to carrying forward real Confucian ideology by recovering the original meaning of it,his life experience of learning in order to be loyal to the country and filial to his elders with the analysis on Xiaoyaoyou.What he should do in order to live as humanbeings should was to learn,write and compose so that he could carry forward his ideology since he had no chance to be loyal and filial.It was entrusted to the book not only Daosheng’s but also Fang Yizhi’s ideal to construct new ideology and to give both spiritual and physical relief to the adherent group of Ming Dynasty and especially himself.The conclusion is drawn that ideas,academic tenet and the method of presentation ran through the whole book,main ideas in the book were the presentation of Fang Yizhi’s thought,the compose of the book was the reseaonable result from his more than 30 years’ hard work.Generally speaking,his view is Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism originating from Yi,his academic tenet is to realize the Common Society owned by all the people,by the way of carrying forward real Confucian ideology.What he should do in order to live as humanbeings should was to learn,write and compose so that he could carry forward his ideology since he had no chance to be loyal and filial.Yongjiu included in Yongliu is his peculiar expression on the relations of Dao and Qi.The above is the meaning of Fang Yizhi’s entrusting his ideal to the book.
