| There is a phenomenon of serious excessive educational competition in our contemporary society,especially the burden becomes heavier and heavier that of excessive educational competition on students and children in senior high school and under its stages.Such excessive competition in education mainly includes two aspects: one is excessive competition for entering higher grade school;the other is excessive competition in participating in education that out of school.Due to the influence of many factors,parents、schools and teachers put forward too high requirements for students and children in learning time、learning burden、 learning age、learning content and so on,and then bring about problems such as excessive learning time、excessive learning burden、too young learning age and too much learning content.The excessive competition in education has caused many ethical problems,which need to be studied seriously by the academic field.On the one hand,it has to urge the whole society to rethink the purpose of education.When parents、schools and teachers generally put forward too high requirements on students and children,so that all kinds of learning and extra lessons become a heavy burden,so that learning becomes the physical and mental stress of students and children,which is not beneficial to their free and comprehensive development,we should rethink: what is the ethical legitimacy and rationality of such education? How to make education return to its original purpose--to promote human’s free and full-aspects development and to make the learning become a happiness and a happy process.Certainly,there are many reasons for the excessive competition in education,such as students’ personal reasons,parents’ reasons,school’s reasons and social reasons.In the face of the situation that excessive competition in education has brought many adverse effects on the development of students and children,all aspects of society should work together to promote education to return to the right track.On the individual aspect of students,they must learn to act according to their ability and rationally deal with the "educational stress" from all aspects.They should be good at conveying their learning ability and development potential to their parents、schools and teachers.They should boldly express where their affordability limit is,and understand that it is the right of students to rationally "resist" unreasonable excessive demands.On the aspect of family,parents should reasonably and promptly study and judge the potential、advantages and disadvantages of their children.They must put forward requirements for their children in a practical and realistic way,formulate reasonable training plans and development goals,rationally promote the growth of children,and do not “try to help the seedling grow by pulling them upward”,and do not " strictly demand " unrealistically.On the aspect of school,managers and teachers should fully implement the national education policy,focus on the "Cultivating Talents of High Moral Standards" as the center,pay more attention to the process of education,and strengthen the practice of “Su Zhi education”.On the aspect of society,the evaluation of talents should be comprehensive,include two aspects: one is the scope of talents should be comprehensive;another is the content of talent evaluation should be comprehensive.On the content of talent evaluation,the comprehensiveness of talent evaluation should not only be combined with learning experience,but also according to person’s moral qualities and ability and many aspects,and then to better evaluate talents comprehensively.Furthermore,we should pay more attention to strengthen the education for competition for parents and students.The main purpose of education for competition is to make the relevant competition subject establish and practise the correct view of educational competition. |
