Cold atom interferometers are widely used in the research of precision measurement physics,such as gravity measurement,gravitational wave detection,equivalent principle test and so on.The experimental process of cold atom interferemeter based measurements is very complex,the requirement for timing control is extremely harsh.According to experiments with different targets,the requirements for timing control are quite different.Usually,it is necessary to design the optimal timing control program according to the specific requirements of different experiments.Therefore,the experimental timing control system plays an important role in precision measurements based on atom interferometer.To meet the requirement of atom-based precision measurement physics,this dissertation conducts the research on experimental timing control system of cold atom interferometers.The main research work and achievements are as follows:1.The design of experimental timing control system for cold atom interferometers is carried out,and the hardware and software scheme for the timing control system is completed.The development and test of the hardware units,which are for the cold atom interferometer experimental timing control system,are completed.These units include the field-programmable gate array(FPGA)control circuit module,the digital output circuit module(5 V TTL output and the rising or failing edge<10ns),the analog output circuit module(the conversion rate can reach 1MS/s,error<3mV),the data acquisition module(the sampling rate can reach 1.25MHz,error<3mV)and the serial peripheral device interface(SPI)circuit module.2.A kind of driver circuit with constant output power for acousto-optic modulators is developed.3.The control software of the timing control system for cold atom interferometer experiments is programmed and debugged,including FPGA control program and host computer control software.A set of control software associated with the system is opened.4.The joint testing of experimental timing control system of cold atom interferometers is completed.The synchronization of digital analog output of this system reaches the order of microsecond,which meets the requirements of most of atom-based precision measurement experiments.
