| China is one of the richest countries in mineral resources of titanium and iron ore all over the world, far more than other countries, therefore research on comprehensive utilization of titanium iron ore resources has important significance for China and even the world’s industrial development. Along with the continuous development and utilization of resources, China’s high-quality titanium iron resource exhausted, so use of low grade is imperative. There are two kinds of titanium iron ore resources in China-native ilmenite and placer type, and placer is processed, ilmenite ore types is wasted. In addition, the placer process at present is not very reasonable, leading to serious waste of resources. Therefore, how to improve the separation efficiency of the titanium iron ore is an urgent problem to be solved in front of the concentrator. Because of the similar characteristics of some minerals in the titanium iron ore, there are interaction effects in the process of the selection, so it is difficult for the separation of titanium iron ore. Based on this, this paper studies the flotation interaction of mineral in low grade titanium iron ore, which aims to realize the efficient recovery of low-grade titanium iron ore.The interaction of minerals in the flotation system is refers to the dissolution of minerals in the system of complex ore flotation, mutual adsorption and cover caused by other minerals which is activated or inhibited and finally impact the flotation separation. This paper selected three minerals-ilmenite, pyroxene and quartz as the research object, crystal structure, dissolution of minerals group are analyzed, through single mineral tests, floatability and modifier effect on mineral flotability of three kinds of minerals in the sodium oleate system were studied, and the effect of the the interaction under different mineral contents were studied by experimental research and theoretical analysis. Through potential measurement, contact angle measurement, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, combined with the calculation of the chemical bonds in the crystal structure, solution chemistry calculation and E-DLVO calculation of the interaction mechanism between the minerals were discussed, finally combined with the test results of single minerals, proposed a method to eliminate the interaction of mineral separation process, and the Panzhihua Guangxi Beihai titanium ore, titanium iron ore sand beach and Vietnam titanium ore ore flotation separation process were studied.Single mineral flotation tests shows that in sodium oleate flotation system, the optimized pH value interval was 5-8 for ilmenite flotation; zeta potential determination results show that, after the addition of sodium oleate ilmenite, the zeta potential decreased, the potential of mineral surface in the larger negative shift has taken place; By infrared spectroscopy, sodium oleate on the surface of titanium iron ore minerals is chemical adsorption. Artificial mixed minerals test showed that adding proper amount of Pb(NO3)2 can activate ilmenite; zeta potential measurements indicate that, adsorption on ilmenite surface electric double layer of Pb2+ions is much larger than that on the surface of quartz electric double layer, Pb2+adsorption on the surface of titanium iron ore is not only electrostatic adsorption, but also chemical adsorption; water glass was used as a dispersentin the flotation of due to the electrical repulsion of ilmenite ore particles and conducive to the separation of ilmenite and quartz. When the water glass was added to the sodium silicate system, the recovery of different size fraction of titanium iron was increased and the recovery rate titanium iron was increased firstly and then decreased.-0.104+0.063mm and -0.063+0.045mm ilmenite recovery reaches a maximum when quartz addition amount is 20%;-0.104mm ilmenite recovery reaches a maximum when quartz addition amount is 30%.Based on the extended DLVO theory, total interaction potential energy and force between different mineral particles in sodium oleate system were calculated. Calculation results show that the particle size is bigger, mutual effect is stronger, attractive interactions between particles can be more prone to heterogeneous coagulation, this heterogeneous coagulation of interaction between the minerals is one of the main reasons for the effect on flotation separation. Elimination of the interaction between the titanium iron ore, the pyroxene and the quartz in the sodium oleic system is helpful for the flotation separation.Ore dressing process test was conducted for the Panzhihua selected iron tailings as the representative primary deposit, the grinding ore-strong magnetic separation-flotation process was determined. The optimized test condition of magnetic separation is:fineness of the grinding is 75%-0.074mm and the magnetic field strength is 631kA/m. The strong magnetic concentrate was served as flotation feeding, the optimized reagent system for flotation:sulfuric acid dosage of 1000g/t, water glass dosage of 600g/t, sodium oleate dosage 1000g/t Through the open and close circuit tests, the flotation process is determined to be one roughing three times cleaning and two times scavenging. Finally, the content of TiO2 of 46.96% and TiO2 recovery of 58.86% was obtained.The research of mineral processing test for placer type of Guangxi Beihai titanium iron ore was conducted, to determine the "gravity separation-high intensity magnetic separation-gravity separation-flotation" combined process. A roughing a cleaning a scavenging was practiced as gravity separation process for run of mine ore, roughing using spiral chute, cleaning using the shaking table, three titanium products concentrates I, middlings, tailings in, titanium concentrate can be obtained with TiO2 grade of 45.16%, recovery of 40.39%. Flotation experiment results for the magnetic tailings show that tailings grade can be increased from 7.33% to 7.33% by flotation and Recovery can reach 14.95%.Mineral processing tests were carried out for a Vietnam complicated ilmenite ore, the gravity-magnetic separation-flotation combined separation process was determined. The final concentrate grade of 46.45% and the recovery of 77.52% was obtained, which can meet the requirements of the titanium industry in the domestic deep processing of Vietnam. This study enriches the theoretical system of the interaction between low grade titanium iron ore flotation and mineral flotation, and has the guiding significance for the flotation separation of the actual low-grade titanium iron ore. |
