| As one of the important traffic tools in modern society, cars have brought convenience to people and caused a bad impact on our environment. Pollutants contained in automobile exhaust includes CO, HC, NOx, SO2and particulate matter, etc, most of which are hazardous to people’s health and badly damage the natural environment, and all make it a serious social issue. Therefore, how to monitor effectively and reduce exhaust pollution has become a problem to be studied and solved for the current traffic workers.Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign automobile exhaust monitoring theories and methods, the paper aimed at studying the methods of exhaust pollution monitoring and characterization in the urban road area. With sections of the road of Harbin city as the research object in this paper, vehicle exhaust pollution monitoring of urban road was studied by combining the design of vehicle exhaust pollution monitoring and remote sensing monitoring. On this basis, using the GIS technology and data fusion technology, the condition of vehicle exhaust pollution of the urban roads’surface area was characterized in the two aspects namely the pollutant concentration and pollution degree. The content of this paper can be listed as follows:(1) The main method of vehicle exhaust pollutant monitoring at home and abroad was discussed, and the factors affecting the characteristics of the urban road vehicle exhaust were analyzed.(2) The on-board real-time detection system of car exhaust on city roads was developed, and experimental verification was conducted. Meanwhile, the relationship of the vehicle running and characteristics of vehicle exhaust in the urban roads was analyzed.(3) Urban roads’vehicle exhaust monitoring time and points were optimally selected with the methods of computing optimal fuzzy set and principal component analysis and fuzzy clustering with the remote sensing monitoring technology. Moreover, the non-linear fitting of monitoring data of single vehicle exhaust was finished with RBF neural network model, and then the data of vehicle exhaust monitored by remote sensing and the data output by vehicle exhaust detection model were compared and analyzed. The results showed that exhaust pollution acquired from the road remote real-time monitoring and vehicle-mounted were numerically error within8%. The remote sensing monitoring can be authentically applied to measure the vehicle exhaust.(4) The condition of vehicle exhaust pollution of the urban roads’surface area was characterized in the two aspects named the pollutant concentration and the pollution degree through the GIS technology and data fusion technology based on the comparison of the data monitored by remote sensing and the data output by vehicle exhaust detection model. |
