20th century was the century of information technology, and the 21st century will be the century of modern biotechnology. To shorten the gap compared with the developed countries and achieve economic and technological leap-forward development, it is important to greatly develop modern biotechnology. As the modern biotechnology itself has many unique features, the development process will be faced with a series of special management problems. Today biotechnology industry has a rapid development, so to further study the ideas and methods of effective management modern biotechnology will has important practical significance and theoretical value.This paper first analyzed the concept and connotation of modern biotechnology, and systematically studied the forming path and development characteristics of modern biotechnology, its own characteristics, the characteristics of biotechnology enterprises, as well as the characteristics of the biotechnology industry based on the reality of industrial development, thus summarized the management characteristics of modern biotechnology. On this basis, according to the blank and deficiency of study, this paper mainly studied the problems of enterprises tactics and industry clusters development in modern biotechnology management.The main results are as follows:1. This paper studied the evaluation and selection of modern biotechnology from the firm level. 1) According to the outstanding characteristics of high uncertainty and utmost fuzziness, having many decision stage and long development cycle, we studied the application of scenario planning in the dynamic assessment of modern biotechnology; 2) We studied investment decision analysis of modern biotechnology integrated use scenario planning and real options; 3)We put forward the theoretical framework and model of enterprise choice based on the analysis of technology assessment and investment decisions.2. This paper studied the special thought of biotechnology enterprises development. 1) Taking biopharmaceutical industry as a background, we studied the critical success factors and their evolution of biopharmaceutical enterprises, as well as the typical development path and reasons that the different types of enterprises to adopt different development paths; 2) We put forward the concept of R&D flexibility according to the intensity risk and high uncertainty of R&D in biotechnology enterprises. Meanwhile, we also studied the specific ideas and measures that can enhance and maintain the R&D flexibility of biotechnology enterprises, bases on the characteristics of biotechnology R&D; 3) We put forward the concept of"fuse events in innovation success", and summarized and analyzed its type, the effect to innovation success of modern biotechnology. At the same time, we also analyzed how to mine and use fuse events in order to accelerate the commercialization of modern biotechnology.3. We studied the development of biotechnology industry clusters. 1) we analyzed two key power of modern biotechnology innovation (expert-type companies and core-type companies) and the sustainability of biotechnology innovation, according to the unique pattern and inherent law of modern biotechnology innovation; 2) The main characteristics of biotechnology industry is accumulated development, so we researched the dynamic mechanism and its evolution of biotechnology industry clusters, and summed up the special law of clusters development; 3)On the basis of definition of clusters continuous innovation ,we further analyzed the continuous innovation network and the continuous innovation mechanism of biotechnology industry clusters.Finally, by summarizing the above studies, this paper put forwarded the countermeasures and suggestions for how to develop modern biotechnology from the level of enterprise and industry.This is the innovations: 1) We systematically summarized the related characteristics of modern biotechnology, and these can lay a foundation for further in-depth study of modern biotechnology management; 2) Using of scenario planning and real options to assess and choose modern biotechnology, which have strong guiding significance for cope with the high uncertainty; 3) We proposed the concepts of"fuse events in innovation success", R&D flexibility, clusters continuous innovation. Meanwhile, we found and discussed some new phenomena and laws in modern biotechnology management; 4) We extensively use case studies with theoretical deduction, so the research conclusions have strong practical and realistic guidance value. |
