The thesis analyzed theoretically and empirically the relationship between transportation infrastructure, spatial spillover effect and economic growth on the New Silk Road economic belt under the macro Conditions of creating jointly New Eurasian Continental Bridge by European and Asian countries, reviving the ancient Silk Road, attaching great importance to the New Silk Road development and coordinating regional economic development by Chinese government, and concerning seriously about the relationship between the transportation infrastructure and economic growth by academia. It would provide a new economic analysis framework for researching underdeveloped regions in western china, especially, boosting a new round of Western Development, give theoretical basis and empirical support for revealing the basic function of transportation infrastructure on factors mobility regionally, explaining influence way between transportation infrastructure and economic growth, determining various transportation infrastructure investment scale and direction, making policy on investment and arrangement and realizing the coordinated development of regional economy. At the same time, have the important theoretical and the practical significance to help to improve awareness on this historic trade route,_speed up regional interaction of production elements, stimulate economy liftoff of underdeveloped region economy and promote international association in china, Japan, South Korea, Central Asia, West Asia and European countries.Analyzed theoretically the influencing mechanism and path of the transportation infrastructure on regional economic growth, established the production function model based on the theory of economic growth. From the perspective of Longhai-Lanxin traffic economic belt research, analyzed the relationship between transportation infrastructure and economic growth by using the time series data, panel data in this region, dynamic econometrics model and spatial statistics, spatial econometrics analysis method, analyzed and experimentally test spatial pattern, long-term dynamic relationship, spatial spillover effect of transportation infrastructure on economic growth, the total factor productivity growth and difference in regional economic growth on the New Silk Road economic belt under the help of geographic information platform. The thesis reached the main conclusions as follows:(1) transportation infrastructure development has made considerable progress, inter-city transportation infrastructure and economic growth formed decreasing distribution from east to west on the new Silk Road economic belt's since the adoption of an opening and reform policy.(2) Investment and the expansion of the economic scale promoted economic growth; economic growth is the Grainger cause of its transportation infrastructure development, but transportation infrastructure development is not the Grainger reason for economic growth.(3) Transportation infrastructure had the significant effect on economic growth; the west-section is the most. Economic belt development is in the labor force driving economic growth stage, local transportation infrastructure is the foundation of economic growth condition, the ecdemic transportation infrastructure to have positive spatial spillover effect on the local economic growth.(4)Increasing transportation investment has significantly driven economy growth, railways, highways on the total factor productivity growth played a significant positive role in promoting sustaining, railways and higher level of roads had the greatest spatial spillovers to TFP growth.(5) Different geographical location and transportation infrastructure conditions were important factors of regional gap of economic development. The Western Development accelerated the convergence of the western part of economic development to the eastern section. The developed transport infrastructure in the East and Middle section promoted regional economic growth, while the western section of the transport infrastructure did not form the favorable condition for local economic growth.(6) Government should attach importance to the geo-spatial effects into the public policy-making process, strengthen regional cooperation, and actively build the economy with a large three-dimensional transportation network to promote regional economic integration. The thesis made three innovations:(1) the research perspective innovation:The first select Longhai-Lanxin economic belt as the Perspective of the New Silk Road economic belt, with the relationship between transportation infrastructure and economy growth as entry point for research, combed transportation infrastructure and economic growth development, spatial distribution since reform and opening up, analyzed theoretically and empirically test, which filled in the existing research gap.(2) Samples and variables selection innovation. Initiatively selected the most important17cities as the samples on the New Silk Road economic belt, combined with the economic development status quo and regional disparities, made multi-factor econometric model of considering the spatial spillover effects of transportation infrastructure, regional disparities and other factors, empirically test each variable on economic growth, which bring forward a new thinking method.(3) Policy innovation. Designed policy closely combined with strategies of the Western Development and the rise of Central China, broke through the angle of using pure theory achievements by the previous scholars to revive the Silk Road concept, fully considered the geographical spatial difference and characteristics of various samples, meanwhile, link with the research results, put forward to revitalize transportation infrastructure construction initial proposal on the New Silk Road economy belt.
