New Immigrants Novel Study

This dissertation focuses on the research on the fictions written by the new Chinese emigrants in the world. At first, it gives an outline about the history of Chinese overseas migration and literature, draws a time line from the genesis of new Chinese emigrant literature to present, and summarizes the new Chinese emigrant writers' writings. Then, the dissertation gives three examples: Yan Geling, Gao Xingjian and Hong Ying, and analyses their important works. After that, it compares the works of the three writers with old Chinese emigrant literature and the works of Chinese native writers in Mainland, China, in order to explore the unique characteristics of the new Chinese emigrant fictions, their literature achievements and the position in literature history.So far the new Chinese emigrant fictions have great harvest, a lot of works are as good as the ones written old Chinese emigrant literature and the works by Chinese native writers in Mainland, China. They are worthy of academic attention and serious research.
