With the development of social economy, the change of life style and the change of disease spectrum, chronic diseases have gradually become one of the main public health problems threatening people’s health. As the most common chronic diseases, hypertension and diabetes have been concerned by the society because of their high prevalence, long course, high disease burden and serious complications. At present, the management and prevention of hypertension and diabetes in our province has made no small progress, but the prevalence rate is high, the awareness rate, the treatment rate and the control rate are low,and the overall situation is "one high and three low";Hypertension and diabetes will not only affect the physical and mental health of patients, quality of life, but also reduce the life expectancy of the population, resulting in high medical costs, and are not a small burden on patients and their families,as well as the whole society. The management, prevention and control of chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes remains a long and arduous task.At present, the research on the related factors of hypertension and diabetes mainly focuses on the biological pathogenic factors, while the research on the social determinants of health is less.Socioeconomic status(SES)is an important part of social determinants of health. The study on the impact of SES on hypertension and diabetes in adult residents of Guizhou province can provide data support for the management, prevention and control of hypertension and diabetes in Guizhou province and the formulation of relevant public health policies. It provides reference for further improving the management and prevention strategy of chronic diseases in Guizhou Province, reducing the social and economic inequality of health, and promoting health equity.First of all, consult the relevant literature at home and abroad, grasp the existing progress and achievements in the research field, and build the paper analysis framework.Secondly, questionnaire was used to collect relevant data information,Epi Data 3.2 was used to establish a database, and SPSS 21.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.SES indicators were composed of per capita family annual income, personal education level and occupation. The three indicators were assigned values respectively, and SES composite scores of participants were calculated.Cox proportional risk regression model was used to analyze the effects of SES single index and composite score index on the incidence of hypertension and diabetes. The conclusions are as follows:(1)SES is closely related to hypertension and diabetes in adult residents of our province. From a single indicator, having a higher income may reduce the risk of hypertension in the population. With the improvement of education level, the risk of hypertension in the population shows a gradual decreasing trend. With the increase of education level, the risk of diabetes in the population showed a gradually decreasing trend, and the study did not find any correlation between income and occupation and the incidence of diabetes.(2)From the perspective of SES composite index,SES composite score was negatively correlated with the risk of hypertension and diabetes, and with the increase of SES composite score, the risk of hypertension and diabetes in the population showed a gradually decreasing trend.(3)Our province has a high incidence of hypertension and diabetes, and certain measures should be taken to manage and prevent hypertension and diabetes, not only to control biological and behavioral risk factors, such as promoting smoking cessation, reducing sedentary, maintaining enough physical activity and other healthy lifestyles, but also from the perspective of social determinants of health.Control of SES as a risk factor.Low SES population is the key population in the management, prevention and control of hypertension and diabetes in our province.Corresponding measures should be formulated, such as increasing residents’ income, improving education level, strengthening health education, etc.,to improve people’s SES,so as to reduce the socio-economic differences in the management of hypertension and diabetes, and reduce the occurrence of hypertension and diabetes. Then, this study from the increase of resident income, improve the social security system;Improve the educational level of the population and strengthen health education; Some suggestions for improving SES in the population and reducing the occurrence of hypertension and diabetes are put forward from the aspects of individuals, medical institutions and government. Finally, the possible shortcomings and prospects of the research are summarized.
