Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 125 patients admitted to the dermatology ward of Fengtian Hospital of Liaoning Province with the diagnosis of "damp-heat eczema",to discuss the general data, rash characteristics and distribution, and disease-related factors of patients with damp-heat eczema,to summarize and analyze the data, and to derive relevant clinical experience. The data were summarized and analyzed to derive relevant clinical experiences and to provide some reference and new ideas for the subsequent clinical treatment of damp-heat eczema.Material and method: From August 1,2018 to August 1,2022,125 inpatients diagnosed with "damp-heat eczema" in the inpatient department of the Department of Dermatology,Fengtian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Liaoning Province were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the medical records, and valid data were obtained. The patients’ general information(age, sex, occupation, etc.),factors affecting the disease(seasonal onset, duration of the disease, bad habits, history of previous diseases, history of food and drug allergies, etc.),conscious symptoms, concomitant symptoms, itching and distribution of lesions, severity, laboratory test results, and Chinese and Western medicine treatment methods were sorted, and the collated Russian case data were entered into Excel. The case data were tabulated and saved, and the IBM SPSS23.0 statistical software was applied to analyze and count the case data.Results.1.General information: Among 125 patients,64(51.2%)were male and 61(48.8%)were female, with a male to female ratio of 1.04:1.The average age was 21-88 years, with a mean age of 56.69 ± 15.76 years;the shortest duration of illness was 3 days, the longest was 40 years, with a mean duration of 7.08 ± 16.88 months;the shortest was 5 days, the longest was 15 days, with a mean hospitalization of 12.41 ± 3.51 days;49 patients(23.59%)had new eczema and 76patients(76.41%)had recurrent eczema..The number of patients with recurrent eczema was predominant;the work occupation of patients was predominantly retired(divorced)people,75 cases(60.00%),followed by company employees, unemployed people, freelancers and workers.2.Disease-related conditions: 21 patients(16.8%)had a history of alcohol consumption,24 patients(19.2%)had a history of smoking and drinking, and smoking and drinking were more common in men;the onset of the disease was mostly in spring and summer;55 patients(44.00%)were affected by triggers before the onset of the disease or when the disease worsened, and dietary factors were more common;27 patients(21.60%)had a history of drug allergy;64 patients(51.2%)had one or more of the following factors 51.2%)had a history of one or more diseases, with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases being more common.Among the 125 patients in this study, lesions were most likely to occur on the trunk, lower extremities, and upper extremities, and were generalized to the whole body in73 cases(58.40%),with the lesions mostly appearing as papules, rashes, and erythema, and most of them were accompanied by scratches and scabs. The VAS score was 85(5)before treatment and 15(10)after treatment, and the EASI score was 28.7(12.5)before treatment and 4.8(4)after treatment, with a significant decrease in the score after treatment compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05).4.Symptoms: The main conscious symptom of the patients was severe itching, and the number could reach 117 cases(93.60%);124 patients had one or more concomitant symptoms, among which poor night sleep(90.32%)and yellow urine(91.93%)were the main ones.5.Laboratory tests: 18 cases with abnormal blood count, including 17 cases(94.44%)with decreased red blood cells and 17 cases(94.44%)with decreased hemoglobin;20cases(16.00%)with abnormal liver function,9 cases(7.20%)with abnormal renal function,13 cases(10.40%)with increased blood glucose;33 cases(26.40%)with abnormal lipids, all of which showed different types of The total Ig E was >100IU/ml in 77 patients(60.80%),and male patients were more likely to have elevated Ig E than female patients;64 patients(57.14%)were positive for one or more specific allergens, with shrimp/crab/scallop,cod/salmon/seabass being more common in the food group, and cat hair dander/dog hair dander, house dust mite/powder dust mite being more common in the inhalation group. The inhalation group included cat hair dander/dog hair dander, house dust mite/powder dust mite.6.Treatment: By describing and analyzing the composition of the herbal tonics used by 121 patients(4 patients were unable to take herbal tonics orally for personal taste)with damp-heat-embedded eczema, the most frequent drugs were heat-clearing drugs(including heat-drying drugs and heat-removing drugs)649 times,water-releasing and damp-permeating drugs(including water-releasing and swelling drugs and diuretic drugs)385 times, and detoxifying drugs(including water-releasing and swelling drugs)385 times. The highest frequency of treatment was 649 times for heat-clearing drugs(including heat-drying and damp-clearing drugs and heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs),385 times for water-releasing and damp-diffusing drugs(including water-releasing and decongesting drugs and diuretic drugs),184 times for table-clearing drugs,131 times for blood-vitalizing drugs,81 times for deficiency-supplementing drugs, and 76 times for wind-damp-eliminating drugs.7.Efficacy: Of the 125 patients investigated,9 were cured,11 were significantly effective,103 were effective, and 2 were ineffective, with an overall treatment efficiency of 98.40%.Conclusion.Among the patients with damp-heat-embedded eczema in this study.1.The patient group was mainly middle-aged and elderly patients, and the disease tended to recur.2.Patients with damp-heat eczema are prone to elevated cholesterol and decreased hemoglobin.3.The Chinese medical treatment for damp-heat eczema is to clear heat, dispel dampness and detoxify the skin, invigorate blood and relieve wind and itch.4.Commonly used herbal medicines for treating damp-heat-infested eczema include heat-clearing herbs,water-releasing and damp-permeating herbs,table-clearing herbs,blood-vitalizing herbs,deficiency-supplementing herbs, and wind-damp-eliminating herbs.5.After the combined treatment of Chinese and Western medicine mainly in Chinese medicine, the treatment effect was considerable.
