Clinical Study On Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction In Treating Severe Pneumonia With Pericardial Heat Syndrom

Objective: Through the clinical observation of xuanbai Cheng Qi Decoction for severe pneumonia,this paper discusses the clinical effect of Xuanbai Chengqi Decoctionin for severe pneumonia,reduces various inflammatory reactions,and further explores new methods and new approaches of TCM for severe pneumonia.Methods: Sixty patients with severe pneumonia who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to the Department of Intensive Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group of 30 cases each using the random number table method.The original data collection was completed within 24 h after enrollment,and with reference to the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Adults in China(2016 version),patients in the control group were given symptomatic treatment such as anti-infection,sputumification,rehydration,maintenance of water-electrolyte balance,respiratory support,and nutritional support;in the treatment group,Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction was added to the conventional treatment regimen in the control group,and the treatment course of patients in both groups was 7d.After the end of treatment,the TCM symptom score,the TCM evidence efficacy index,clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS)and inflammation index of the two groups were compared,and the clinical efficacy was finally analyzed.Results:1.There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in pretreatment sex,age,TCM symptom score,clinical pulmonary infection score,and inflammation index(P>0.05),suggesting that the two groups were balanced in baseline and comparability.2.After treatment,the TCM symptom score of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment,and the decrease was greater in the treatment group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);the total effective rate of TCM evidence efficacy index was81.5% in the treatment group and 60.7% in the control group,and the difference of TCM evidence efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.The CPIS scores of patients in both groups decreased significantly after treatment compared with those before treatment,and the differences within the groups were statistically significant(P< 0.05),and the CPIS scores of the treated group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.The procalcitonin(PCT)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in the two groups decreased significantly after treatment compared with those before treatment,and the difference within the group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the difference between the treatment group and the control group was also statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction can reduce the clinical symptoms of severe pneumonia and lung infection,reduce the degree of local and systemic inflammation and improve prognosis.
