Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Essential Hypertension With Qi And Blood Deficiency Syndrome By Guipi Decoctio

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Guipi Decoction in the treatment of essential hypertension(EH)with deficiency of qi and blood.Methods:A total of 72 patients with EH qi and blood deficiency syndrome who met the inclusion criteria at the clinic of Professor Xie Haibo of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)from January2021 to January 2022 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.There were 36 people in each group.Because some patients did not complete the follow-up and examination in time,there were actually 32 people and31 people in the two groups.The patients in the observation group were given 4 weeks of oral treatment with Guipi Decoction Modified Granules,and the patients in the control group were given 4 weeks of oral treatment with SHI HUIDA.The age,gender,course of disease,and blood pressure classification data of the two groups of patients were compared before and after treatment,and the changes of TCM symptom scores,office blood pressure(OBP),home blood pressure(HBP),and ambulatory blood pressure(ABP)of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were observed.Results:1.TCM syndrome Integral:The total score of TCM symptoms,the score of single symptom,and the positive rate of single symptom in the two groups were comparable before treatment.After treatment,the TCM symptom scores in both groups decreased(P<0.05),and the decrease in the observation group was more obvious(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.The total effective rate was 90.63% in the observation group and 70.97% in the control group.The single symptom scores in both groups decreased after treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease in the observation group was more obvious(P<0.05).2.Blood pressure:There was no statistical difference in the values of OBP,HBP and ABP between the observation group and the control group before treatment,and they were comparable,there is P>0.05.Conclusion:Modified Guipi Decoction is superior to SHI HUIDA in improving TCM symptoms of EH with deficiency of qi and blood,and has the same effect as SHI HUIDA in reducing blood pressure.
