| Objective:In this study, correlation scales and surface electromyography(s EMG)were used to compare the clinical efficacy of tension balance acupuncture and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain(CNLBP),to explore the relationship between muscle tone imbalance and CNLBP,and to analyze the influence of surface electromyography before and after acupuncture intervention. The purpose of this study is to provide basis for expanding the scope of clinical treatment of tension balance acupuncture, provide ideas for clinical decision-making and improve clinical efficacy. Methods: 50 patients with CNLBP were selected from the acupuncture clinic, orthopedics department and pain department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,50 patients with CNLBP who met the criteria were randomly divided into tension balance acupuncture group(experimental group)and routine acupuncture group(control group)with 25 patients in each group. Both groups were treated once every other day, three times a week, two weeks as a course of treatment, and two consecutive courses of treatment. Each course of treatment is 2 days apart. The VAS visual simulation score and JOA score before and after 1 and 2 courses of treatment were recorded,as well as the changes of root mean square(RMS)and median frequency(MF)of surface electromyography before and after 2courses of treatment.Results:1.Before treatment, the general condition, visual analog scale of pain(VAS-P),JOA score,RMS value and MF value of CNLBP patients in the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.VAS-P:(1)Self comparison:Compared with before treatment:VAS-P in both groups after each course of treatment improved(P<0.05);There was a statistically significant decrease(P<0.05),indicating that both groups could relieve the pain of the patients, and with the prolongation of the course of treatment, the curative effect was more obvious.(2)Comparison between groups:The curative effect of each course of treatment in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).3.JOA score:(1)Self-comparison:Compared with before treatment, the scores of both groups after each course of treatment increased(P<0.05),indicating that both groups can improve the symptoms, signs and daily activities of CNLBP patients.Compared with that after 1 course of treatment, the JOA scores of both groups after 2 courses of treatment increased(P<0.05),indicating that the curative effect gradually increased with the prolongation of the course of treatment.(2)Comparison between groups:The curative effect of each course of treatment in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).4.RMS value:Compared with that before treatment,RMS values of erector spinalis muscle and external oblique abdominal muscle in both groups decreased after 2 courses of treatment(P<0.05);Comparison between groups:the improvement of RMS value in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).5.MF value:Compared with that before treatment, the MF values of erector spinalis muscle and external oblique abdominal muscle in both groups increased after 2 courses of treatment(P<0.05);Comparison between groups:the improvement of MF value in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).6.comparison of total effective rate between the two groups: the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The occurrence of CNLBP is related to the imbalance of muscle tension in waist and abdomen.2.Both tension balance acupuncture and routine acupuncture can relieve the pain of patients with CNLBP and improve their daily activities and signs, but tension balance acupuncture is more effective.3.Tension balance acupuncture is superior to conventional acupuncture in improving RMS and MF of erector spinae and external oblique muscles in patients with CNLBP. |
