Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction On Hidden Blood Loss After PLIF Surgery For Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis Syndrome

Objective : To observe the effect of modified Taohong Siwu Decoction on occult blood loss after PLIF for lumbar spinal stenosis(Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome),and to provide another idea for controlling occult blood loss after PLIF.Methods: 68 patients who met the inclusion criteria who underwent PLIF surgery in the second Department of spine,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of traditional Chinese medicine from September 2019 to September 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the order of treatment,68 patients were divided into 35 cases in the traditional Chinese medicine group and 33 cases in the control group.The patients in the traditional Chinese medicine group were treated with Taohong Siwu Decoction,while the patients in the control group were not satisfied with traditional Chinese medicine.The patients in the control group were treated with conventional treatment after operation.The preoperative results of the two groups were compared,The changes of hematocrit(HCT)and hemoglobin(HGB)levels at 1,3,5 and 7 days after operation,the hidden blood loss,as well as the score of TCM syndrome,vas and JOA before operation,1 day and 1 month after operation.To explore the effect of modified Taohong Siwu Decoction on occult blood loss and curative effect after spinal opening surgery.Results: 1 Compared with the HCT of the two groups after the 7th day of operation,the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)2 Compared with HGB on the 7th day after operation,the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)In the comparison of hidden blood loss 7 days after operation between the two groups,the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4 in the comparison of VAS scores between the two groups after 1 month and 3 months,the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in JOA score between the two groups before operation(P > 0.05);The JOA scores of the two groups improved in varying degrees after one month and three months of operation.Through statistical comparison,the JOA score of the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05).Compared with the TCM syndrome score of the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group,the effective rate difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the syndrome score of the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion: Taohong Siwu Decoction can reduce the hidden blood loss of lumbar posterior surgery(Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome)for lumbar spinal stenosis,promote the recovery of patients,and improve VAS score,JOA score and TCM syndrome score.
