Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of the modified Chuanxiongchatiaosan treating for the wind-syndrome migraine, which is combined with Chuanxiong at different doses(30g and 10g)and with different processing methods(raw and frying with wine). To explore the impact of dosage and processing method on the Chuanxiong, and provide new clinical ideas and evidence for the application of Chuanxiong and Chinese medicine to treat migraines.Method Eighty migraine patients, who were treated at the Clinic of Zhao Yonglie, chief physician in the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Third Affiliated Hospital and the Clinic of Jing Zhiwei, chief physician in Guang’anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from May 1,2019 to April 30,2020,were divided into 4 groups according to the principle of randomness, and were given the modified Chuangxiongchatiaosan, which were combined with 30g raw Chuanxiong,10g raw Chuanxiong,30g winefrying Chuanxiong,10g wine-frying Chuanxiong(unifiedly provided by the Sanjiu Pharmaceutical co.LTD).A course of treatment was 2 weeks.Patients needed to take the Chinese medicine each day in the morning and evening,1 bag once and mixing with boiled water. Some data and scales were recorded and statistical analyzed at the beginning and end of the course of treatment, including the migraine symptoms scores, headache effect measurement test-6 and Chinese medicine syndrome scores.Result 1 Migraine Symptoms Scores:After treatment, the four groups have significant improvement on the scores of migraine symptoms, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same processing method of Chuanxiong, compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 1(30g raw products)has better efficacy in the treat-ment,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared to group 4(10g wine-frying products),group 3(30g wine-frying products)has better efficacy, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same dosage of Chuanxiong, compared to group 1(30g raw products),group 3(30g wine-frying products)has comparatively better efficacy, although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 4(10g wine-frying products)has comparatively better efficacy, although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).The interaction between dosage factor and concocting factor on the score of migraine syndrome is not obvious.2 HIT-6 scale scores:After treatment, the four groups have significant improvement on the HIT-6 scale scores, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same processing method of Chuanxiong, compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 1(30g raw products)has better efficacy in the treatment, and the differ-ence is statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared to group 4(10g wine-frying products),group 3(30g wine-frying products)has better efficacy, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same dosage of Chuanxiong, compared to group 1(30g raw products),group 3(30g wine-frying products)has comparatively better efficacy although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 4(10g wine-frying products)has comparatively better efficacy, although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).The interaction between dosage factor and concocting factor on the score of HIT-6 scale is not obvious.3 Chinese medicine syndrome comprehensive score:After treatment, the four groups have significant improvement on the Chinese medicine syndrome scores, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same processing method of Chuanxiong, compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 1(30g raw products)has better efficacy in the treatment, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared to group 4(10g wine-frying products),group 3(30g winefrying products)has better efficacy, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Under the premise of the same dosage of Chuanxiong, compared to group 1(30g raw products),group 3(30g wine-frying products)has comparatively better efficacy although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Compared to group 2(10g raw products),group 4(10g wine-frying products)has com-paratively better efficacy, although the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).The interaction between dosage factor and concocting factor on the score of Chinese medicine syndrome is not obvious. Conclusion The modified Chuanxiongchatiaosan, combined with different Chuanxiong has a therapeutic effect on wind-syndrome migraine. Those combined with Chuanxiong at 30g dose have better efficacy, which means the dose factor has a significant effect on Chuan-xiong.Meanwhile,those combined with wine-frying Chuanxiong have comparatively better efficacy, which means the factor of processing method might have a slight effect on Chuan-xiong.The interaction of the dose factor and the concocting factor on Chuanxiong is not obvious.Above all, modified Chuanxiongchatiaosan, combine with the wine-frying Chuan-xiong at the dose of 30g,can obtain comparatively the best clinical efficacy.
