Objective(s): To observe the improvement of OT on the sense of smell of patients with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyposis after surgery,so as to formulate a targeted program for clinical application, and to provide strong clinical evidence for improving the olfactory rehabilitation ability of patients with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyposis with olfactory hyposmida. Methods: A total of 60 patients with nasal polyposis chronic sinusitis with olfactory loss were selected and divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. After cleaning the nasal passages at discharge, the patient is instructed to rinse the nasal passages with normal saline and nasal spray hormone spray for 2 months. The experimental group instructed the patients to undergo olfactory rehabilitation training on the basis of the control group. The patient was scored according to the CT of the patient’s sinuses before surgery, and the patient was measured at the first day before surgery,2 weeks after intervention,1 month after intervention, and 2 months after intervention to verify the effectiveness of olfactory rehabilitation.Results:1.Before the intervention and 2 weeks after the intervention, there was no significant difference in the perception threshold, recognition threshold and VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05);1 month and 2 months after the intervention, the perception threshold and recognition threshold decreased in both groups, and the VAS score increased(both P<0.05),but the control group scored higher than the experimental group, and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).2.There was no significant difference in quality of life scores before intervention(P>0.05)between the two groups, and after intervention, the scores of both groups decreased(both P<0.05),and the scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).3.The EM difference was positively correlated with the preoperative olfactory perception threshold(DT)and olfactory recognition threshold(RT),and the t value was< 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion(s):1.The preoperative imaging evaluation of nasal sinuses in patients with chronic sinusitis caused by nasal polyps can serve as a measurement tool to determine the level of olfactory decline in the patient.2.Surgical and postoperative medication therapy combined with olfactory training can significantly enhance the olfactory recognition ability of patients with chronic sinusitis and hypoosmia caused by nasal polyps,or avoid the recurrence of symptoms of hypoosmia, while also improving the patient’s quality of life.
