Objective: At present,cardiovascular disease(CVD)is the leading cause of death in China and even in the world,among which hypertension is the largest risk factor.The onset of high blood pressure is often very hidden,and the course of the disease is long.Long-term high blood pressure can lead to left ventricular remodeling,resulting in arrhythmia,heart failure and even death.With the rapid economic growth and population aging in my country,the prevalence of hypertension and its complications is still increasing.Galectin-3(Gal-3)is an emerging biomarker,and many studies have confirmed that it affects the occurrence and development of various CVDs by participating in the process of fibrosis and inflammatory response.At present,the mechanism of ventricular remodeling in hypertension is still inconclusive,and most studies believe that it is related to myocardial fibrosis and inflammatory changes.At present,there are few studies on the correlation between Gal-3 and ventricular remodeling,and the research results are mixed.This study takes hypertensive patients as the research object,and explores the correlation between the Gal-3 level in serum and ventricular remodeling in hypertensive patients,so as to provide early detection and prevention of ventricular remodeling in hypertensive patients and reduce the adverse events of ventricular remodeling in hypertensive patients.The occurrence provides new ideas.Methods : From November 2021 to November 2022,119 hypertensive patients who visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College in the first ward of elderly patients with hypertension were selected as the case group.The case group was divided into hypertension grade 1 group,hypertension grade 2 group and hypertension grade 3 group;all cases underwent echocardiography,and the left ventricular mass index(LVMI)was calculated according to the ultrasound monitoring value,and they were divided into hypertension according to the value.Ventricular remodeling group and non-ventricular remodeling group;another 64 cases of nonhypertensive patients in the same period were selected as the control group.Basic data such as name,gender,age,and history of underlying diseases were collected for all enrolled patients;blood routine,liver and kidney function,blood lipids,fasting blood sugar,12-lead electrocardiogram,dynamic electrocardiogram,echocardiography,lower limbs or neck Ultrasound of blood vessels in the chest and other examinations;fasting venous blood was collected,and the Gal-3 level was detected by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:1.Comparing the hypertension group with the control group: there were statistically significant differences in age,BMI,fasting blood glucose(FBG)and echocardiography indexes between the two groups(p<0.05),among which age and BMI were independent factors of hypertension.Risk factors;2.Comparison between different grades of hypertension groups;high-density lipoprotein in the grade 3hypertension group was higher than that in the grade 2 hypertension group,and Gal-3level in the grade 3 hypertension group was higher than that in the grade 1hypertension group;3.Ventricular hypertension in hypertension Comparing the remodeling group with the non-ventricular remodeling group: there were statistically significant differences in age,body mass index(BMI),left atrial diameter(LAD),Gal-3,coronary heart disease,and peripheral vascular sclerosis between the two groups(p< 0.05),in which Gal-3 is an independent risk factor for the occurrence of ventricular remodeling in hypertension,but the joint predictor Y composed of age,BMI,LAD,Gal-3,coronary heart disease,and peripheral vascular sclerosis is higher diagnostic value.Conclusion:1.The level of Gal-3 in the serum of hypertensive patients may be related to the grade of hypertension,and the degree of myocardial fibrosis may be different in patients with different grades of hypertension;2.Gal-3 is correlated with LVMI,and is associated with hypertensive Remodeling is closely related,and detection of Gal-3 level can predict and judge ventricular remodeling in hypertensive patients to a certain extent;3.Gal-3 has poor specificity in predicting ventricular remodeling in hypertensive patients,age,BMI,Left atrial diameter(LAD),Gal-3,presence of coronary heart disease,and peripheral vascular sclerosis,the predictive factor has greater diagnostic value.
