contributions to the development and revolutionary cause of Chinese medicine,and his academic experience is quite large,fruitful.In recent years,the state has vigorously supported the academic thought research of famous and old Chinese medicine.As a red doctor,Hou Shuming’s medical academic thoughts and revolutionary process are not involved in researchers.Objective: This paper aims to collect,summarize and sort out Hou Shuming’s relevant medical and historical materials,summarize his academic thoughts and personal revolutionary process in phlegm prevention and treatment,traditional Chinese medicine immunity,life philosophy,etc.,in order to preserve the revolutionary spirit and medical ideas of the red doctors,supplement the academic research of Shaanxi famous old Chinese medicine,and combine Hou Shuming’s unique red background to open a multi-faceted study of red doctors The study of old Chinese medicine and the spiritual research of red medicine provide new ideas and references.Methods: Under the guidance of the supervisor,the author comprehensively uses multidisciplinary theories and methods to examine the relevant situation of characters and works,widely applies the knowledge of medical philology,various theories of Chinese medicine,Chinese medicine informatics,history,statistics and other subjects,and uses survey methods,literature research methods,interview methods,comparative methods,etc.,to collect relevant information,examine Hou Shuming’s life experience in detail,and find out the books and literature he has written.In terms of academic thought,he comprehensively collects his works and papers,mainly his books,and publishes papers;In terms of life experience,through field investigation and interviews,mainly historical records,news reports,revolutionary memoirs and the narrative memories of direct descendants,consult local chronicles and other literature,conduct in-depth study,systematically excavate,refine,analyze,and summarize Hou Shuming’s academic thoughts and contributions on phlegm drinking,Chinese medicine immunity,and life philosophy,and clarify his life experiences at various stages.Results: Hou Shuming’s life is divided into two parts,one is his contribution to the revolutionary cause,devoting himself to the underground red cause,spreading red ideas,assisting the work of the Party Central Committee,liberating Xi’an,and contributing to the development of the Communist Party of China;The second is its medical achievements,medical contributions are mainly in the standardization of traditional Chinese medicine case format,"winter disease and summer treatment" prevention and treatment of phlegm drinking,traditional Chinese medicine immunity,life philosophy these five aspects,among which in the study of phlegm drinking traces the origin of the "Internal Classic",continues the concept of phlegm drinking as a "warm supplement",advocates phlegm drinking its root in the spleen,distinguishes six drinks,collects all households,and obtains five methods of phlegm drinking;In terms of immunology,it recognizes the compatibility between Chinese medicine immunity and modern immunology,attaches drinking,inherits the concept of "warm medicine and harmony" in "Jin Kui",puts forward that the root of the disease lies in the spleen,absorbs the experience of various families,obtains the five methods of phlegm drinking,and distinguishes the six drinks,believes that the treatment of branch,suspension and overflow focuses on "attacking and developing",and creating phlegm drinking pills;At the same time,Hou Shuming actively participated in the development of medical work in New China,built Yan’an Hospital and other medical and health units,and his contribution to Chinese medicine is not only in medical thinking,but also in material construction.Its identity as a "red doctor" not only enriches the content of the research on famous and old Chinese medicine,but also provides new ideas
