| Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet to lymphocyte ratio(PLR),lymphocyte to monocyte ratio(LMR),hemoglobin to erythrocyte distribution-width ratio(HRR)and prognosis of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods: Blood routine indexes of newly diagnosed patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma before treatment were retrospectively collected,NLR,PLR,LMR,and HRR were calculated,and gender,age,pathological type,T stage,N stage,clinical stage,history of induction/adjuvant chemotherapy,and synchronous chemotherapy regimen were used as observation indexes in this study.Progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were used as end points.KaplanMeier method was used for survival analysis,and Log-Rank test was used for testing.Cox proportional risk model was used for univariate and multivariate analysis.Results: From September 2017 to June 2020,clinical data of 186 patients were collected,with PFS and OS as endpoints.The cutoff values of NLR,PLR,LMR,and HRR at PFS were determined to be 1.07,142.37,1.99,and 3.57 using the subject work curve;The truncation values in OS are 3.61,249.99,and 1.91.Cox proportional risk model univariate analysis showed that HRR(P=0.034),pathological type(P=0.020),and history of induction/adjuvant chemotherapy(P=0.004)were risk factors affecting PFS in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients;NLR(P<0.001),PLR(P<0.001),and LMR(P<0.001)are risk factors affecting OS in LA-NPC patients;Further multivariate analysis showed that HRR(P=0.046)and history of induction/adjuvant chemotherapy(P=0.007)may be independent influencing factors for PFS in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.Conclusions: The HRR value may be an independent prognostic factor for PFS in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients,and can be used as a prognostic indicator and stratification factor for evaluating locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.NLR,PLR,LMR are associated with OS in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.Although this study did not find any correlation between NLR,PLR,LMR and the progression of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma,it provides a reference for existing research on the relationship between inflammatory indicators and the prognosis of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. |
