ObjectivesBased on the theory of service quality evaluation,this study uses the HEALTHQUAL model to construct a research tool for evaluating the quality of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health management services for community children.Using cross-sectional research and semi structured interviews,this study investigated the implementation status and service quality level of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in communities in Hangzhou from both supply and demand sides,analyzed the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in communities,and explored relevant influencing factors,providing countermeasures and suggestions for improving traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in communities.Methods(1)Literature research method: systematically reviewed the research status of community children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management services,service quality evaluation tools and influencing factors,and laid a foundation for the research.(2)Focus group discussion method: It was composed of experts in the field and members of the research group.Based on the results of literature research,it discussed the service quality evaluation model,research methods and research ideas of children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management services involved in this study.(3)Questionnaire survey method: the first part of the questionnaire was the basic demographic characteristics,the second part was the behavior related to children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management services,and the third part was the quality evaluation scale of children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management services designed based on the HEALTHQUAL model,including five dimensions of tangibility,empathy,safety,efficiency and improvement of health services.(4)Semistructured interview method: interviewed the medical staff of the selected community health service center providing children’s TCM health management services,and the ability of community children’s TCM health management services.(5)Quantitative statistics: descriptive statistical methods such as frequency and frequency were used to analyze the basic demographic characteristics of the respondents and the related behaviors of children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management services;Ttest and variance analysis showed whether there were differences in the evaluation of five dimensions of service quality among different demographic characteristics and children’s behaviors related to health management of traditional Chinese medicine;Multiple linear regression was used to explore the impact of relevant factors on the quality of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in the community.Results(1)The total average score of the evaluation of the quality of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in Hangzhou community was(122.57 ± 12.570).The dimension with the highest score for standardization was 87.87 points for safety,followed by 86.37 points for efficiency,83.33 points for improving health services,82.89 points for empathy,and 82.29 points for tangibility.(2)The results of univariate analysis showed that:(1)There were statistical differences in the scores of tangible dimensions: children’s age,children’s registered residence,children’s parents’ age,preferred medical service institutions,whether they had received publicity and education,and whether the services provided by the community could meet the needs in this dimension(P<0.05);(2)Safety dimension:There were statistical differences in scores of child age,child medical insurance type,preferred medical service institution,whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs,and whether they were willing to continue receiving services in this dimension(P<0.05);(3)Empathy dimension: There were statistical differences in the scores of child age,parents’ educational level,per capita monthly income of different families,and preferred medical service institutions in this dimension(P<0.05);(4)Efficiency dimension: There were statistical differences in scores of child age,mother’s educational level,per capita monthly income of different families,purpose of receiving services,preferred medical service institutions,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs in this dimension(P<0.05);(5)The dimensions of improving health status: Child age,mother’s educational level,per capita monthly income of different families,preferred medical service institutions,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs have statistical differences in the scores of this dimension(P<0.05);(6)Total score of service quality: the child’s age,child’s birth order,child’s registered residence,mother’s education level,per capita monthly income of different families,preferred medical service institutions,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs of this dimension had statistical differences(P<0.05).(3)The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that:(1)The tangible dimension: the factors influencing the service quality score were the children’s registered residence,father’s age,parents’ educational level,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs;(2)Safety dimension: Factors that affected the score of service quality included the type of medical insurance for children,parents’ educational level,monthly income per capita for different families,preferred medical service institutions,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs;(3)Empathy dimension: Factors that affected service quality scores include parents’ educational level,and preferred medical service institutions;(4)Efficiency dimension: Factors that affecedt service quality scores include parents’ educational level,per capita monthly income of different families,and preferred medical service institutions;(5)Dimensions of improving health status: Factors affected service quality scores include children’s medical insurance type,mother’s educational level,per capita monthly income of different families,and preferred medical service institutions;(6)The factors influenced the total score of service quality includ the child’s age,the child’s registered residence,parents’ educational level,the per capita monthly income of different families,the preferred medical service institution,and whether the services provided by the community can meet the needs.ConclusionThe overall quality of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in the community was good,with relatively low scores in terms of tangibility,empathy,and improving health status.The study found that the influencing factors of the quality of TCM health management service for community children included the child’s age,child’s registered residence,child’s medical insurance type,father’s age,parents’ educational level,and per capita monthly income of different families in general demographic characteristics;among the behaviors related to traditional Chinese medicine health management services,whether the services provided by the preferred medical service institutions and communities can meet the needs,and whether they are willing to continue to receive services.In the future,we can improve the quality of traditional Chinese medicine health management services for children in communities and promote the formation of a new pattern for the development of community children’s medical services by increasing services for children’s traditional Chinese medicine health management,promoting appropriate technologies for children’s traditional Chinese medicine,improving community service capabilities and levels,and improving the traditional Chinese medicine health management system.
