Objective(s)The concentrations of Phthalate esters(PAEs)and their metabolites in serum of pregnant women with gestational diabetes were analyzed, combined with the clinical data collected,to explore different exposure levels of PAEs in pregnant women with gestational diabetes,to provide epidemiological basis for clinical prevention of environmental factors in hyperglycemia during pregnancy.Method(s)The subjects were pregnant women with gestational diabetes who were enrolled in the Guangxi birth Cohort study from July 2021 to July 2022 and registered 15 weeks before pregnancy in the obstetric clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical College,Baseline survey(face-to-face questionnaire)for all pregnant women enrolled in the birth cohort, clinical baseline data on ethnicity, occupation, education, place of birth, height, weight, passive smoking and alcohol consumption in early pregnancy were collected, the general situation and Body mass index(BMI)when the card was collected.Take the remaining blood samples of her early pregnancy card in the laboratory,Diethyl phthalate(DEP),Di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP),Di-2-Ethylhexyl phthalate(DI-2-ethylhexyl phthalate),Diisononyl ortho-phthalate(DINP),were determined in her blood samples. The concentration levels of different ethnic groups, body mass index and undesirable habits were analyzed,In order to find the level of PAEs in pregnant women with different gestational diabetes, and to provide clinical epidemiological information.SPSS 24.0 Chinese software was used for statistical analysis of all the data of pregnant women included in the study, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Result(s)1.A total of 267 pregnant women with gestational diabetes were included in the study, with an average age of 32.1±4.6 years and an average BMI of22.9±3.49 kg/m~2.The detection rate of DEP,DBP,DEHP and DINP in serum was 100%,indicating that PAEs exposure was widespread in the real environment. The median concentration of DEHP was 8.1 ng/ml.The median concentration of DBP,DEP and DINP was 2.5ng/ml,1.0ng/ml and 0.05ng/ml respectively.2.Serum PAEs exposure in pregnant women with gestational diabetes:Multiple linear regression analysis results show that,DINP levels were higher in pregnant women exposed to passive smoking.Conclusion(s)1.The results of this study showed that pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus were generally exposed to PAEs,among which the exposure levels of DEHP and DBP were high, while the exposure levels of DEP and DINP were low.2.The exposure of four environmental pollutants,DEP,DEHP,DBP and DINP,had no significant correlation with pregnancy age, occupation, education level, alcohol consumption and body mass index.Smoking and passive smoking have some effect on DINP exposure.
