ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to randomly divide 60 cases of infertility diagnosed with phlegm dampness blocking polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)into two groups. After three menstrual cycles of treatment, the TCM syndrome scores, body weight index,LH,FSH,LH/FSH,testosterone,ovulation rate, pregnancy rate, and other indicators of the two groups of research subjects before and after treatment were compared, and their mechanisms of action were preliminarily explored,And compare the clinical efficacy and safety of Cangfu Daotan Tang combined with letrozole in treating PCOS infertility patients with phlegm dampness obstruction. This provides a more accurate and reliable research concept and diagnosis and treatment method for the clinical further treatment of PCOS infertility patients with phlegm dampness obstruction.MethodsSixty patients who met the inclusion criteria and visited Shanxi Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were randomly divided into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases, each treated for 3 menstrual cycles. The treatment group received oral administration of Cangfu Daotan Tang(200ml/dose,BID,continuous for 20 days)on the 5th day of each menstrual cycle, combined with oral administration of letrozole(2.5mg/dose,BID,continuous for 5 days),while the control group received simple oral administration of letrozole(2.5mg/dose,BID,continuous for 5 days)starting from the 5th day of each menstrual cycle.Record the general information of the patient before treatment(such as name, age, duration of illness, number of pregnancies, number of miscarriages, etc.);Starting from the 12 th day of each menstrual cycle,B-ultrasound monitoring of ovulation is performed. Those who have stopped menstruation for 50 days are drawn blood to test their pregnancy status.Blood is also drawn on the 2nd or 3rd day of the first menstrual cycle and the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment to test for relevant serum sex hormone indicators, such as luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),LH/FSH,and testosterone(T);Evaluate the level of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score before and after treatment based on the quantitative grading table of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms;Measure the patient’s height and weight before and after treatment to calculate their BMI value; Before and after treatment, the patient’s blood and urine routine tests,as well as liver and kidney functions, were conducted to evaluate the safety of this treatment. After the study was completed, the experimental results and data of this study were summarized and organized, and SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analysis, such as T-test,chi square test, rank sum test, etc.,to compare and analyze the comprehensive efficacy, ovulation rate, pregnancy rate,LH,FSH,LH/FSH,T,BMI,and clinical improvement of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes between the treatment group and the control group after this treatment,Determine the efficacy and safety of Cangfu Daotan Tang combined with letrozole in clinical application.Results1.In terms of overall clinical efficacy: In the treatment group,15 cases were cured, accounting for 50%,9 cases were significantly improved, accounting for 30%,4 cases were effective, accounting for 13.3%,and 2 cases were ineffective, accounting for 6.7%.The overall effectiveness rate reached 93.3%;In the control group,8 cases were cured, accounting for 26.7%,9 cases were significantly effective, accounting for 30%,4 cases were effective, accounting for 13.3%,and 9 cases were ineffective, accounting for 30%.The overall effective rate was 70%.Statistical analysis of the clinical comprehensive efficacy of the two groups of research objects shows that the difference is statistically significant, and the total clinical efficacy of the treatment group treated with Cangfu Daotan Decoction combined with letrozole is significantly higher than that of the control group treated with single letrozole.2.In terms of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, the differences observed after treatment have statistical value(P<0.05),indicating that the combination of Cangfu Daotan Tang and Letrozole is more prominent in improving traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores after treatment compared to using Letrozole alone.3.In terms of improving sexual hormones: After treatment, statistical analysis was conducted on LH,LH/FSH,and T values, and P<0.05 was found, which was statistically significant. This indicates that the combination of letrozole and Cangfu Daotan Tang is more prominent in improving sexual hormone levels(reducing LH,LH/FSH,and T values)compared to letrozole treatment.4.From the perspective of ovulation rate and pregnancy rate, the ovulation rate in the treatment group was 47.4% after treatment with Cangfu Daotan Tang combined with letrozole; The ovulation rate of the control group after simple treatment with letrozole was48.8%.Comparative analysis between the two groups found that P>0.05,which had no statistical value. The pregnancy rate in the treatment group after treatment with Cangfu Daotan Tang combined with letrozole was 43.3%;The pregnancy rate of the control group after simple letrozole treatment was 16.7%,using chi square test,P<0.05,indicating a5.significant difference in pregnancy rates between the two groups after treatment, and the pregnancy rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group.ConclusionThe combination of Cangfu Daotan Tang and letrozole is more effective in reducing LH,LH/FSH,testosterone,body mass index, increasing pregnancy rate, improving traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and comprehensive therapeutic effects of phlegm dampness blocking infertility compared to the use of letrozole alone.
