| Objective: To investigate whether there have been changes in the severity of perimenopausal syndrome(MPS)and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression in perimenopausal women affected by the public health emergency of the COVID outbreak closed-off management;and explore whether regular and moderate physical exercise has a protective effect on clinical symptoms and anxiety and depression in perimenopausal women during major public health emergencies such as the COVID outbreak closed-off management. Methods: Select perimenopausal women who were under closed-off management from March 9 to March 31,2022 who visited the menopausal specialty clinic and gynecology clinic of Cangzhou Central Hospital before March 2018 and March 2022 and joined the We Chat group of perimenopausal patients in our department.Randomly select women who meet the inclusion criteria to conduct online questionnaires through the We Chat platform and publish questionnaires with questionnaire stars. Two questionnaires were conducted during the second to third weeks of closed-off management in Cangzhou and one month after closed-off management was lifted.Do before and after self-comparison.Collect and record the basic information of the patient’s age, height, weight,BMI,menstrual status, whether he has taken drugs to treat menopausal symptoms, exercise during closed-off management, education level, marital status, occupation, family relationship, family income and so on,and complete the modified Kupperman Index Scale(KI),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS).Export questionnaire information via Survey Star.Eighty-two valid questionnaires that met the exclusion criteria and completed two surveys were recalled. Results: During the COVID outbreak closed-off management period, the median KI score was 15.00(6.00,23.50),the median SAS score was 43.00(36.00,49.25),the median SDS score was 45.00(38.00,59.25).One month after the release of closed-off,the median KI score was 14.00(5.00,21.50),the median SAS score was 41.00(33.00,45.25),and the median SDS score was 43.00(34.75,54.50).One month after the release of closed-off management, the KI score of patients decreased compared with the period of closed-off management, but it could not be explained that there was a statistical difference in the overall KI score between the two groups(Z=1.034,P=0.301).The SAS score decreased compared with the closed-off period, and there were statistical differences(Z=2.108,P=0.035).The SDS score showed a downward trend compared with the closed-off management period, but it could not be explained that there was a statistical difference in the overall SDS score between the two groups(Z=1.343,P=0.179).During the closed-off period, the KI score difference of the group with a cumulative exercise of 150 minutes or more per week was 1.50(0,2.75),the SAS score difference was 0(-3.00,9.25)and the SDS score difference was6.25±6.885.For the group of exercise 2 to 4 times, with a cumulative 60 to120 minutes per week, the KI score difference was 1.00(0,2.00),the SAS score difference was-1.00(-3.00,5.00)and the SDS score difference was-0.55±5.697.For the group with less than 60 minutes of cumulative exercise per week, the KI score difference was 1.00(0,5.00),the SAS score difference was 6.00(-4.00,11.00)and the SDS score difference was 3.23±4.802.There was no significant difference in KI score difference between the three groups(H=2.606,P=0.272),there was no significant difference in SAS score difference(H=3.891,P=0.143),and there was a statistical difference in SDS score difference(F=7.368,P=0.001).Conclusions: The public health emergency caused by the closed-off of the COVID pneumonia epidemic did not have a significant impact on the symptoms of perimenopausal syndrome and depression in perimenopausal women, but it aggravated women’s anxiety, and exercise had a positive effect on the alleviation of depression during the closed-off management. |
