Retrospective Study On The Efficacy Of Dispersing Lung Qi And Eliminating Dampness Method In The Treatment Of COVID-19 In Sichuan

Objective: To retrospectively analyze and summarize the clinical efficacy of Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method for the treatment of COVID-19,and objectively evaluate its effectiveness,safety and feasibility by observing and comparing the scores of TCM symptoms after treatment,the time for body temperature to return to normal,length of hospital stay,negative nucleic acid conversion and cure rate.To summarize the clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients in Sichuan,and preliminarily explore the mechanism of the Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method,so as to provide clinical basis for the Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method for the treatment of COVID-19,explore the advantages of TCM in the treatment of COVID-19,and better guide clinical medication.Methods: Were retrospectively analyzed in November 2020 to December 2021 cases of hospitalized patients total 60 cases of the public health center,all included in the cases in accordance with the COVID-19 medical eighth edition revised(trial)clinical diagnostic criteria and discharge standards,the diagnosis of western medicine belongs to the light and ordinary,TCM syndrome differentiation is damp and hot accumulate lung syndrome,dampness toxin and stagnation of lung syndrome.General information,length of stay,clinical symptoms,clinical serum test indicators,TCM clinical symptom score before and after treatment,temperature return to normal time after admission,nucleic acid negative time,cure rate and other information of the patients were collected.According to the difference of treatment methods,30 cases were divided into Chinese and western medicine group,30 cases were divided into Western medicine group.In addition to the basic treatment of western medicine group,the patients in the western medicine group were treated with oral Chinese medicine decoction(Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method as the treatment principle).Clinical symptom score,length of stay,temperature recovery time after admission,negative nucleic acid time and cure rate of patients in the two groups were compared by statistical analysis,and adverse reactions and toxic and side effects during treatment were recorded.To conduct a preliminary analysis on the clinical efficacy of the treatment of COVID-19 by Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method.Results: Middle-aged and elderly men are the majority of COVID-19 patients in Sichuan.Most of these patients are accompanied by long-term chronic diseases such as hypertension,hyperlipidemia,chronic liver disease,abnormal glucose tolerance and diabetes.In both groups,the main symptoms were fever,fatigue,cough and shortness of breath,followed by chest distress,headache,dry mouth and sore throat.There were no significant differences in clinical data and the results of the first blood test after admission between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,both groups were cured and discharged,the cure rate was 100%(P>0.05).In the improvement of clinical symptoms,the scores of several major TCM symptoms in the Chinese and western medicine group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),the days of hospitalization,body temperature returning to normal and nucleic acid turning negative in the integrated Chinese and Western medicine group were better than those in the western medicine group(P<0.05).In terms of safety assessment,there were no major adverse events during hospitalization in either group.Conclusion: COVID-19 is a Damp toxin epidemic disease.The clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of COVID-19 based on the Dispersing lung Qi and eliminating dampness method is significant,without obvious toxic and side effects,and the clinical application is safe and effective.It can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of patients,shorten the time for body temperature to return to normal,the length of hospital stay,nucleic acid negative time.In line with the thinking of TCM syndrome differentiation and medication rules of COVID-19,the curative effect of integrated TCM and Western Medicine has certain advantages over simple Western medicine treatment.
