Objective:Clinical trials were conducted to investigate the clinical efficacy, security and recurrent conditions of modified Sanren Decoction combined with red and blue light in the treatment of acne vulgaris(gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome); To assess the impact on skin lesions and quality of life; This provides more effective treatment options. Methods:In this study,80 patients with acne consistent with gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome were selected from Guangyuan Hospital of TCM from January 2022 to August 2022.Follow the principle of random allocation, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 40 cases in both. The observation group was treated modified Sanren Decoction and with red and blue light irradiation, while the control group was treated with Minocycline hydrochloride capsules combined with red and blue light irradiation.Set 1 course of treatment for 4 weeks,a total of 2courses.The observation index scores and adverse reactions of the two groups were recorded and analyzed before treatment and after each course of treatment.Follow-up was performed 1 month after completion of treatment.Finally,SPSS25.0 software was used to statistically analyze and process the collected patient data of the two groups to evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and prognosis of the two groups. Results:This study were included 80 patients with gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome acne,a total of 5 people fell off,and the actual number of completed cases was75,Among them, there were 38 people in the observation group and 37 people in the control group.1.Baseline comparison:The differences in age, sex, course and scoring indexes before treatment were not obvious between the two groups(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.Comparison of curative effect: After treatment, both groups achieved good efficacy, but the two groups were not statistically significant, indicating that the difference in efficacy was not obvious(P<0.05).3.GAGS comparison: Within-group comparisons, after treatment, the two sets of scores are reduced, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05);Between-group comparisons, after both courses of treatment, there was no significant difference in reducing lesion scores(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups had similar efficacy in improving skin lesions.4.TCM syndrome scores comparison: Within-group comparisons, after treatment, the two sets of scores are reduced, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Between-group comparisons, the observation group score was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).5.DLQI comparison: After treatment, the two sets of scores are reduced(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups after one course of treatment(P>0.05),and the observation group after two courses of treatment was better than the control group in improving the quality of life of patients(P<0.05).6.Comparison of adverse effects: No obvious adverse reactions were observed in the observation group, while 2 patients in the control group had adverse reactions after medication,1 patient had nausea and vomiting, and 1 patient had dizziness and weakness.Conclusion:1.This study has achieved good curative effect in the treatment of gastrointestinal damp-heat acne, which is obviously better than western medicine in improving the clinical symptoms of TCM.2.This study can effectively improve the skin lesions of acne patients and improve the quality of life of patients.3.In this study,no obvious adverse reactions occurred in the course of treatment, and its safety is better than western medicine.4.In this clinical trial, the recurrence rate is low, indicating that the long-term efficacy is significant.
