| Objective:Objective To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition(EEN)combined with probiotics in off-line patients after high spinal cord injury. Methods:Sixty patients with high cervical spinal cord injury and high paraplegia who were offline after surgery in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January2021 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the enrolled patients were divided into observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received early enteral nutrition treatment and the observation group received early enteral nutrition combined with probiotics treatment.Nutritional indexes before and after early enteral nutrition intervention were compared between the two groups :[prealbumin(PA),albumin(Alb),transferrin(TRF),total protein(TP)] and immune indexes: [immunoglobulin A(Ig A),immunoglobulin M(Ig M),immunoglobulin G(Ig G)],inflammatory indicators:[procalcitonin(PCT),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)] levels and clinical gastrointestinal symptoms. Results:The average blood levels of PA,Alb,TRF,TP,Ig A,Ig M and Ig G in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group on day 7 after intervention(all P < 0.05).The levels of PCT,TNF-α and IL-6 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group on day 7 after intervention(all P < 0.05).The incidence of abdominal distension, diarrhea, constipation and reflux in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:EEN combined with probiotics can significantly improve immune level and nutritional status, reduce systemic inflammatory response, reduce gastrointestinal complications, and improve postoperative recovery of patients after offline operation of high cervical spinal cord injury, which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
