Objectives:The expression of Tim-3 and PD-1 in endometrial adenocarcinoma tissues and adjacent normal endometrial tissues was determined by immunohistochemical method, and the relationship between them and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed,so as to provide valuable theoretical reference for the immunotherapy of endometrial adenocarcinoma.Methods:1.Postoperative cancer tissue specimens and paracancer normal endometrial specimens of 53patients with endometrial adenocarcinoma who underwent surgical treatment in the Department of Gynecology of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from October 2020 to December2022 were collected,as well as case data of these patients.2.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of Tim-3 and PD-1 proteins in cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues, and to analyze the relationship between them and various clinicopathological parameters. The pathological results were interpreted independently by two pathologists in double-blind condition.Results:1.In endometrioid adenocarcinoma tissues, the high expression rates of Tim-3 and PD-1 are significantly higher in cancer tissues than in adjacent tissues(χ~2=8.503,P<0.05;χ~2=7.463,P<0.05).2.In endometrioid adenocarcinoma tissues, the expression levels of Tim-3 and PD-1are correlated with FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis, tissue differentiation, and myometrial invasion depth(P<0.05).Both expression levels were not correlated with menopause or age(P>0.05).3.In endometrioid adenocarcinoma tissues, the expressions of Tim-3 and PD-1 were positively correlated.Conclusions:1.In endometrioid adenocarcinoma, the high expression rates of Tim-3 and PD-1 proteins were significantly higher than those in normal endometrial tissues adjacent to carcinoma.2.In endometrioid adenocarcinoma, the expression of Tim-3 and PD-1 proteins were correlated with the degree of tissue differentiation,FIGO stage, depth of muscular infiltration, and lymph node metastasis of patients, but not with age or menopause.3.In endometrial adenocarcinoma, the expressions of Tim-3 and PD-1 are positively correlated, which may be involved in the occurrence and development of endometrial adenocarcinoma.
