Efficacy And Safety Of Filling Hyaluronic Acid/polylactic Acid Between Penile Sarcosus And Buck Fascia For Penile Girth Enhancement:a Meta-analysis

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of filling the penis with hyaluronic acid/polylactic acid between the penis membrane and Buck fascia.Methods:PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane library,CNKI,Chinese Biomedical Literature(CBM)and Wanfang database were searched by computer to collect the clinical studies on penis thickening by filling hyaluronic acid/polylactic acid between the sarcophagi membrane and Buck fascia.The retrieval period was from the establishment of the database to December 2022.Data processing and meta-analysis were performed using RevMan 5.3 software.Results:A total of 4 literatures with 275 patients were included.Meta-analysis showed that the filling of hyaluronic acid or polylactic acid between the penis membrane and Buck fascia significantly enlarged the penis[(MD=-2.07;95%CI:-2.53～-1.61;P<0.00001),(MD=-1,68;95%CI:-2.09～-126;P<;0.00001)],improve the appearance of penis[(MD=-1.28;95%CI:-1.55～-1.01;P<0.00001),(MD=-1.23;95%CI:-1.65～-0.81;P<0.00001)]and improve sexual satisfaction[(MD=-1.00;95%CI:-1.23～-0.77;P<0.00001),(MD=-0.78;95%CI:-1.03～-0.53;P<0.00001)].Compared with poly lactic acid,filling hyaluronic acid increased penile thickening(MD=0.37;95%CI:0.09～0.65;P=0.009)and improved sexual satisfaction(MD=0.50;95%CI:0.23-0.78;P=0.0003)has advantages.Polylactic acid filled penis thickening effect was stable(MD=0.24;95%CI:-0.09～0.58;P=0.15),and the penile circumference decayed significantly after hyaluronic acid filling(MD=0.48;95%CI:0.18-0.78;P=0.002).However,both groups improved penile appearance(MD=-0.06;95%CI:-0.40～0.29;P=0.75)and complications(RR=0.59;95%CI:0.26-1.38;P=0.23)was not statistically significant.Conclusion:The filling of hyaluronic acid or poly lactic acid between the fleshy membrane of the penis and Buck fascia can significantly thicken the penis,improve the appearance of the penis and the quality of sexual life,and the efficacy is safe.The effect of polylactic acid filling on penis thickening was stable,but hyaluronic acid filling was better than polylactic acid in penis thickening and sex life improvement.
