| Objective:The clinical efficacy of kidney-strengthening sperm granules on the postoperative sperm malformation rate in patients with kidney-yang deficiency type varicocele was investigated by comparing kidney-strengthening sperm granules with Wuzi Yanzong pill and observing the changes in semen quality(density,normal morphology rate and other related indexes)and Chinese medicine evidence score before and after treatment.Methods:Seventy-six patients with spermatic varicose veins with deficiency of kidney yang were collected from the inpatient department of the Reproductive Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Nanchang Reproductive Hospital),and were divided into two groups according to the randomization principle,with 38 cases in each group,all of whom met all diagnostic criteria.Both the control group and the treatment group underwent microscopic spermatic cord vein ligation and were given oral treatment with kidney-strengthening pellets and Wuzi Yanzong Pill respectively after surgery,both of which were taken for one course of treatment(12weeks)as prescribed by the doctor,and the patients were instructed to pay attention to rest,diet and exercise.The changes in semen quality(density,normal morphology rate and other related indexes)and TCM symptoms scores of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.The relevant data were analyzed using SPSS25.0software.Results:1.Before treatment,the mean value of sperm density in the treatment group was 42.09±10.62×10~6/ml,the mean value of PR-grade sperm was 19.93±3.16%,the mean value of sperm DFI was 25.19±4.68%,and the mean value of sperm normal morphology rate was 1.57±0.45%.The mean value of total sperm count in the control group was 40.8±11.89×10~6/ml,the mean value of PR-grade sperm was 20.65±3.69%,and the mean value of sperm DFI was 25.19±4.68%.The mean value of sperm DFI was 24.25±4.03%,and the mean value of sperm normal morphology rate was 1.61±0.43%.P-values were>0.05,which were not statistically significant.2.After treatment,the mean value of sperm density in the treatment group was 50.72±8.93×10~6/ml,the mean value of PR-grade sperm was 37.13±2.91%,the mean value of sperm DFI was 10.09±2.64%,and the mean value of sperm normal morphology rate was 3.83±0.42%.The mean value of total sperm count in the control group was 45.47±10.26×10~6/ml,the mean value of PR-grade sperm was 31.56±3.74%,The mean value of total sperm was 45.47±10.26×10~6/ml,the mean value of PR-grade sperm was 31.56±3.74%,the mean value of sperm DFI was14.13±4.61%,and the mean value of normal sperm morphology rate was3.40±0.43%.The p-values were<0.05,which were statistically significant.The treatment group had better treatment effect compared with the control group,and the differences were comparable.3.The effective rate of the treatment group was 89.47%,with 7cases cured,21 cases with significant effect and 6 cases effective;the effective rate of the control group was 71.05%,with 2 cases cured,13 cases with significant effect and 12 cases effective,with P value<0.05,which was statistically significant.It indicates that both Kidney Strengthening Granules and Wuzi Yanzong Pill have certain efficacy in treating the decrease of semen quality caused by varicocele,but the effect of Kidney Strengthening Granules is more obvious.Conclusion:1.Both Kidney Kidney Strengthening Granules and Wuzi Yanzong Pill were effective in treating postoperative patients with deficient kidney yang type varicocele,and both of them significantly improved sperm density,PR grade sperm,sperm normal morphology rate,reduced sperm DFI and TCM symptom score.2.The treatment of postoperative patients with spermatozoa varicose vein deficiency of kidney yang with Kidney Strengthening Granules was better than Wuzi Yanzong Pill in improving sperm density,PR-grade sperm,normal sperm morphology rate,reducing sperm DFI and Chinese medicine symptom score,and improving semen quality to some extent,with significant efficacy. |
