As the proportion of the elderly population in China’s total population continues to increase,the aging degree of China’s population is deepening.The CPC Central Committee has put forward the implementation of the "Healthy China strategy",and the government departments have issued a series of relevant policies.The health problems of the elderly population have been widely concerned,and the social demand for pension services is also increasing.The application of traditional Chinese medicine theory to guide the daily activities of the elderly can prevent related diseases,improve the quality of life of the elderly,realize the healthy aging of the society,and reduce the burden of the state pension.Medicine is an important part of outstanding local medical schools in China.Its history of development goes back to a long time.medical sciences were unprecedenously prosperous and the old people’s health preservation ideas were abundant by Xujiang Medicine in the Ming and Qing dynasties.This study reviewed related contents of reorganization of old people by Xujiang Medicine in Ming and Qing dynasties,then to explore the characteristics of reorganization ideas of old people in Ming and Qing dynasties,and to explore their value for contemporary old people’s reorganization,so as to promote the development of local medicine and promote the Gan Poyang culture.This study includes the following aspects:The first chapter,briefly introduces the " Xujiang Medicine " and related overview of old people,including "definition of old people" and related concepts extended from "old people"The second chapter,from the perspective of historical origin,divides the development process of the academic thought of health preservation for the aged by Xujiang Medicine into four historical stages,such as pre-Qin period,Han and Tang Dynasties,Song and Yuan dynasties,Ming and Qing Dynasties,and summarizes one by one.The third chapter,through to the Ming and Qing dynasties of Xujiang river basin,the acknowledgement and the corresponding book finishing excavation,Seven physicians from Xujiang were selected such as Zhu Quan,Wan Quan,Gong Tingxian,Gong Juzhong,Li Chan,Yu Jiayan and Xu Wenbi,and by medical books related contents in the middle-aged and old health research,combing summarizes the elderly health academic thoughts.The fourth chapter,summarizes the academic characteristics of reorganization of old people by Xujiang Medicine in Ming and Qing dynasties from four aspects:spleen and stomach conditioning,mental adjustment,Daoyin,techniques and senile disease maintenance.The fifth chapter,summarize the academic values of reorganization of medical aged health by Xujiang Medicine in Ming and Qing Dynasties from two aspects:modern aged regimen and local medical development.Finally,the relevant results from the research:Firstly,Old health connotation is rich,"Lao","Kao","Shuai","Shou" and other words of the interpretation,reflects the ancients for life exploration and thinking,"Tian Nian",the word,shows the people’s good hope for life.China has a strong atmosphere of respect for the elderly,which provides a favorable environment for the development of health care for the elderlySecond,the academic thoughts of elderly health by Xujiang Medicine have a long history.They originated from the pre-Qin period,rise rapidly in the Han and Tang Dynasties,develop continuously in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,and mature and prosperous in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The academic development enriched the connotation of health preservation for the aged and promoted the overall progress of Xujiang Medicine.Third,The Xujiang doctors of Ming and Qing Dynasties have different ideas of health care for the aged.Zhu Quan attaches great importance to spiritual conditioning for old age health,which is deeply influenced by Confucianism and Taoism and advocates the way of the mean;Wan Quan’s old age health thoughts can be learned from four aspects: lack of desire,cautious movement,law,but disease;Gong Tingxian believed that the spleen and kidney viscera were closely related to senility,and paid attention to the prevention and treatment of senile diseases;Gong Juzhong paid attention to the psychological changes of the elderly,attach importance to the spleen and stomach function of the human body,and believed that drugs and diet could be used for health care;Li Chan advocated "no disease prevention first",takes the daily maintenance,think moxibustion can prolong life;Yu Jiayan attaches great importance to the kidney Yang of human body,and his idea of preserving health in old age is very Buddhist.Xu Wenbi attaching importance to the body’s vitality and spirit,His idea of health care for the aged reflects the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine.Fourth,The Xujiang doctors of Ming and Qing Dynasties have distinctive characteristics of the old health ideas.They can be summarized as attaching importance to the function of spleen and stomach and prolonging life;Pay attention to mental adjustment,moral extension of age;Advocate Daoyin method to keep shape undying;Beware of senile diseases,prevent disease and
