| Objective:By observing the symptoms, related dry eye examination indicators and laboratory tests of dry eye patients before and after treatment, the clinical efficacy and safety of Mongolian quadruple therapy combined with artificial tears in the treatment of dry eye were systematically and objectively evaluated,so as to explore and summarize a set of simple and easy solutions for the treatment of dry eye with Mongolian medical characteristics,so as to provide a basis for future clinical treatment of dry eye. Methods:According to the relevant inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria formulated,60 dry eye patients(120 eyes)who visited the ophthalmology department of Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Medical Hospital from 2021.07~2022.09 were collected, and the patients were numbered in sequence, and the random number table method was used to divide 30 cases(60 eyes)in the Mongolian medical quadruple therapy combined with artificial tear treatment group(experimental group A)and 30 cases(60 eyes)in the artificial tear treatment group(control group B),the experimental group of Mongolian medicine quadruple therapy included Mongolian medicine fumigation, local hot compress, facial acupressure and meibomian gland massage comprehensive quadruple therapy.Taking two courses(20 days)as the experimental cycle, the improvement of ocular surface disease index(OSDI),corneal fluorescein sodium staining(CFS),tear film rupture time(BUT),tear secretion test(SIt),meibomian gland morphology and function test and conjunctival imprint cytology(CIC)were observed and compared between the two groups before and after treatment. To objectively evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Mongolian quadruple therapy combined with artificial tears in the treatment of dry eyes.Results:1.Before treatment, the age, gender,OSDI score,CFS score,BUT,SIt,meibomian gland morphology and function and CIC of the two groups were statistically analyzed, and the 2.Ocular surface disease index(OSDI):the OSDI score of both groups after treatment was improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.001);The improvement of OSDI scores in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.01).3.Corneal fluorescein sodium staining(CFS):the fluorescein sodium staining after treatment in both groups was improved compared with before treatment(P<0.001);The improvement of fluorescein sodium staining in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).4.Tear film break up time(BUT):the tear film break up time after treatment was longer than before treatment in both groups(P<0.001);The prolongation of tear film break up time in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.001).5.SchirmerⅠtest(SIt):the tear secretion of both groups after treatment was improved compared with before treatment(P<0.001);The improvement of tear secretion in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.001).6.Meibomian gland morphology and function test:(1)Meibomian gland opening:the meibomian gland opening in the experimental group was improved compared with before treatment(P<0.001),and the meibomian gland opening in the control group after treatment was basically no improvement effect compared with before treatment(P>0.05);The improvement of meibomian gland opening in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.001).(2)Meibomian gland secretion traits:the secretion traits in the experimental group after treatment were improved compared with before treatment(P<0.001),while the effect of improving secretions after treatment in the control group was not obvious(P>0.05);The improvement of secretion traits in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.001).7.Conjunctival impression cytology(CIC):Nelson’s grade improved in both groups compared with before treatment(P_A<0.001,P_B<0.01);The experimental group improved Nelson’s grade better than the control group(P<0.001).8.Comparison of total effective rate:the total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.33%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 70.00%,which showed that the efficacy of Mongolian quadruple therapy combined with artificial tears in the treatment of dry eye syndrome was better than that of artificial tears alone(P<0.01).During the entire experiment,no patients experienced significant adverse reactions or side effects. Conclusion:Mongolian medicine quadruple therapy combined with artificial tear therapy can effectively improve the symptoms of dry eye patients, promote the repair of corneal damage, prolong the tear film rupture time, improve tear secretion, help to restore the morphology and function of meibomian glands, and effectively improve the condition of ocular surface cells in patients.Because Mongolian medical quadruple therapy combined with artificial tears in the treatment of dry eye has a definite curative effect,is simple and easy, and there is no obvious adverse reaction,it is worth further promoting and using it in clinical practice. |
