| With the development of economy and the improvement of people’s quality of life, the importance of health becomes more and more prominent; And commercial health insurance has the function of providing further protection and compensation for national health and safety.Based on this, this thesis explores the relationship between health status, risk attitude and participation in commercial health insurance with the data of CHFS2019 and the binary selection model. This thesis focuses on the linkage between health status, risk attitude and participation in commercial health insurance, especially the role of risk attitude in it,divides health status into objective and subjective perspectives, and studies the relationship between risk attitude and health status and participation in commercial health insurance from the mediating role and moderating role of risk attitude. This thesis also studies whether there are differences and similarities between subjective health self-assessment and average annual health expenditure on commercial health insurance participation, and whether their influencing mechanisms are the same. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Health status and risk attitude are important factors affecting whether to buy commercial health insurance;(2)Risk attitude is the mediating variable of annual health expenditure affecting whether to buy commercial health insurance, but risk attitude is not the mediating variable of subjective self-assessment affecting whether to buy commercial health insurance;(3)Risk attitude is the moderating variable of subjective self-assessment affecting whether to buy commercial health insurance, but risk attitude is not the moderating variable of annual health expenditure affecting whether to buy commercial health insurance;(4)Health status and risk attitude have heterogeneity on whether to buy commercial health insurance, and there are significant differences between different levels of education and different genders. Finally, this thesis puts forward some suggestions from the perspectives of residents, insurance companies and the state. |
