The Study Of Working Memory Updating Function And Intervention In Schizophrenia Patients With Different Course

Impaired working memory is the heart of cognitive deficits in schizophrenia,and the ability to updating is the heart of working memory.The question of whether working memory impairment declines with the course of the disease remains controversial.Studies have shown that working memory updating training can improve the updating function,and it can be transferred to other functions.Therefore,this study took schizophrenia patients with different courses as the research objects to explore the correlation between course,symptoms and updating function,and used active memory training tasks and pre-and post-test tasks to further improve the training effect and transfer effect through updating training.In the first study,233 schizophrenia patients with different course of disease were selected as the research objects.The PANSS scale was used to evaluate the severity of mental symptoms,and the 1750 task,the 750 task and the 2-back task were used to measure the working memory updating ability of the patients.The results of the study found that the course,negative symptoms were negatively correlated with updating ability(1750 task,750 task and 2-back task)in schizophrenia patients.In the second study,schizophrenia patients with a course of less than 6 months and more than 10 years were randomly divided into a training group and a control group.Active memory training tasks were used to train the participants in the training group to updating function,while the control group did not do any training.In the pre-and post-test tasks,the working memory updating task(1750 task,750 task,2-back task),inhibition task(Stroop task)and digit conversion task were used to evaluate the two groups of patients to explore the effect of working memory updating training and transfer effect.The results of the study showed that working memory updating training improved the patients’ updating ability,and a near-transfer effect occurred on the working memory updating task.In terms of far-transfer effects,patients with a disease duration of less than 6 months could transfer to the inhibitory ability(Stroop task),but could not transfer to the conversion ability,and patients with a disease course of more than 10 years could not transfer either the inhibitory ability(Stroop task)or the conversion ability.
