| Objective:The clinical efficacy and theoretical rationale of the treatment of benign thyroid nodules with the use of abdominal acupuncture are explored to provide new ideas for the treatment of this disease. Methods:In this study,76 patients who met the criteria for nadir discharge were collected,8 cases were detached and 68 cases were actually included in the study.34 cases in the test group were treated with abdominal acupuncture and 34 cases in the control group were treated with Xia Ku Cao Oral Liquid. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The changes in thyroid function, the longest diameter of the largest nodule and the TCM symptom score of the patients before and after treatment were recorded respectively.Results:1.Four cases were excluded from the test and control groups respectively, and finally thirty-four cases were completed in each group.2.Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, course of disease and nature of nodules(P>0.05).3.Ultrasonic efficacy evaluation: there was no statistical difference in the diameter of the largest nodule between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);The maximum nodule diameter of the two groups before and after treatment was statistically different(P>0.05);There was a statistical difference in the diameter of the largest nodule between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05);The total effective rate of the test group was 70.59%,and that of the control group was 52.94%.4.TCM syndrome score and efficacy evaluation: there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the TCM evidence points before and after treatment(P>0.05);the TCM evidence points after treatment were better than those before treatment in both groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the test group was 76.47%,while the total effective rate of the control group was73.53%.5.Comparison of thyroid function: there was no statistical difference between the two groups in FT3,FT4 and TSH before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ventral acupuncture is effective in treating benign thyroid nodules, reducing the diameter of nodules, controlling further nodule development, relieving clinical symptoms,is painless and safe. |
