| Objective: The aim of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction in the treatment of hypomenorrhea(liver and kidney yin deficiency evidence),and to compare the primary and secondary symptoms and endometrial thickness before and after the treatment by using the compound Wuji capsule as a control,and to verify the effectiveness and safety of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction in the treatment of this disease according to its improvement.Methods: Two groups of 36 cases each were created by randomly dividing the 72 patients who satisfied the diagnostic criteria for this illness,and both shed 2 cases due to irresistible reasons during the treatment,final results showed that each group’s 34 cases completed the whole observation.The therapy group was given Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction,and started taking oral Chinese medicine for 21 days at the beginning of menstrual purification.The control group received compound Wuji capsule,a Chinese patent medicine,for the same amount of time as the treatment group,and both groups received treatment consistently for three menstrual cycles.The improvement of the main symptoms,secondary symptoms and endometrial thickness of each decoction before and after treatment were compared,and the follow-up was conducted after 3 month of discontinuation of treatment.Results: Through clinical data analysis: 34 patients were observed in each of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction and the compound Wuji capsule,and their total effective rate was 88.24% and 79.41%,respectively.The number and proportion of cured,apparently effective,effective and invalid cases in the two groups were 6(17.6%),16(47.1%),8(23.5%),4(11.8%)and 3(8.8%),10(29.4%),14(41.2%)and 7(20.6%),respectively.A statistical examination of the two groups’ combined treatment effects revealed that P=0.048<0.05,so the overall efficacy was more significant in Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction.1.When the two groups’ 3 main symptoms were compared before and after therapy,it was concluded that both groups had P=0.000<0.05 after intra-group test and P<0.05 after inter-group test,so both groups could increase menstrual flow,moderately prolong menstrual period,and improve menstrual color and texture,but the efficacy was more significant in the group of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction than the group of compound Wuji capsule.2.When comparing the six secondary symptoms before and after treatment in both groups,P<0.05 was found within the groups,so both groups could improve the concomitant symptoms,and when comparing the groups,P>0.05 was found between the groups for dizziness and dizziness,so the treatment effects of both groups were comparable for dizziness and dizziness.P<0.05 for the five symptoms of soreness of the waist and knees,insomnia and dreaminess,hidden pain in the chest,dryness of the mouth and throat,and irritability of the five hearts,so the efficacy of the group with the addition and subtraction of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction was more significant in the above five symptoms.3.The endometrial thickness of the premenstrual 1 week was compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and the intra-group test yielded P=0.000<0.05 for both groups,and the inter-group test yielded P=0.022<0.05,Therefore,both groups of drugs had the effect of promoting endometrial thickening,but the efficacy was more pronounced in the group of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction.Conclusion: Clinical observation of 68 patients(4 cases of detachment)showed that the efficacy of Tonic Yin and Yi Kidney modified decoction in treating menstrual hypomenorrhea(liver and kidney yin deficiency evidence)is remarkable,which can improve the quantity,color and quality of menstruation,menstrual period,endometrial thickness and concomitant symptoms of patients without adverse clinical conditions,and is worth promoting. |
