Objective: This topic aims at the clinical symptoms of patients with vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis, summarizes the clinical treatment plan, and provides relevant reference for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis.Through the design of clinical trials, compared with oral fluunlizine hydrochloride,to explore the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture combined application of "neck and back acupuncture" in the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis(CSA),in order to find a more efficient, convenient and inexpensive way to relieve patients’ pain. Methods:Sixty patients with vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis(CSA)were randomly divided into two groups, including 30 patients in the electroacupuncture group. The patients were treated with electroacupuncture combined with three cervical and dorsal needles for 6 days a week for 4 weeks. In the western medicine group,30 patients were given flunarizine hydrochloride capsules orally,2 tablets a time, twice a day,for consecutive 4 weeks. After treatment, the improvement of clinical symptoms and the change of average basilar artery blood flow velocity in the two groups were observed, and the data were processed and analyzed. Results: The total effective rate was 96.7% in the electroacupuncture group and 70.0% in the western medicine group. The scores of Neck Disability Index(NDI)and Evaluation Scale for Cervical Vertigo(ESCV)were significantly changed compared with those before treatment(all p< 0.05),and the improvement degree of symptoms in the EA group was significantly better than that in the western medicine group(all p< 0.05).After treatment, the mean blood flow velocity of basilar artery in the EA group was significantly faster than that before treatment(all p < 0.05),but there was no significant difference in the western medicine group. Conclusion:The clinical effect of electroacupuncture combined with "neck and back three needles" in the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis is obviously better than that of oral flunazine hydrochloride.Through this method, the neck blood oxygen supply can be increased, and the vertigo symptoms of patients can be significantly reduced...
