Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Perimenopausal Insomnia By Press Needle Based On The Theory Of "Liver And Kidney Being Of The Same Source"

Objective: Through observing the clinical efficacy of the treatment of perimenopausal insomnia with press needle under the guidance of the theory of " liver and kidney being of the same source ",the effectiveness of this method in treating perimenopausal insomnia was investigated,with a view to providing a green,safe and effective treatment method for the clinical treatment of perimenopausal insomnia.Methods: The 72 patients collected were randomly divided into two groups,one group was treated with press needle under the guidance of the theory of "liver and kidney being of the same source",as the treatment group(n=36),acupuncture points were taken: Zhaohai,Yongquan,Taixi,Shenshu,Sanyinjiao,Ganshu,Taichong,Guanyuan,Neiguan and Shenmen,one needle buried every 3 days,with pressure once a day in the morning,midday,evening and at bedtime,each time for 1 min,with a rest day for every 6 days of treatment,for a course of 4 weeks;Another group received oral estazolam as a control group(n=36),1mg once daily at bedtime for 4 weeks.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was selected as the primary efficacy observation index,and the modified Kupperman score and Chinese Medicine Symptom Score Scale were used as secondary efficacy observation indexes,and the pre-and post-treatment data were statistically analysed.Results: In this study,72 patients were treated and observed.In the treatment group,2cases were dislodged and 1 case was removed,with 33 cases actually completed;in the control group,a total of 4 cases were dislodged,with 32 cases actually completed.1.Comparative results of efficacy: The total effective rate of 84.85% in the treatment group was significantly higher than the total effective rate of 75% in the control group(P<0.05)after comparative analysis.2.Comparison of PSQI scores: intra-group comparison showed that all scores and total scores decreased significantly in both groups(P<0.05).Comparison between groups showed that the total PSQI score and the single sleep disorder score were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of improving the scores of other PSQI items(P > 0.05)3.Results of the comparison of the modified Kupperman scores: intra-group comparison showed that the scores of both groups decreased significantly compared to the pre-treatment scores(P<0.05).The comparison between groups showed that the scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparative results of Chinese Medicine Symptom Score Scale scores: Intra-group comparison showed no significant difference in the scores of symptoms of vertigo and tinnitus,hot flushes and sweating,and lumbar and knee weakness in the control group(P>0.05),but there was a significant difference in the scores of total score,insomnia and dreaminess,irritability and fever in the five hearts,irritability and palpitations(P<0.05);There was a significant decrease in all item scores in the treatment group compared to pre-treatment(P<0.05).A comparison between groups revealed that the treatment group scored significantly lower than the control group in total score,hot flushes and sweating,soreness and weakness of the waist and knees,irritability of the five hearts,irritability and dizziness and tinnitus(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the two groups in palpitations and insomnia and dreaminess(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Both treatment groups were able to improve perimenopausal insomnia,but the treatment of perimenopausal insomnia with snap-acupuncture based on the theory of "liver and kidney being of the same source" was superior to oral estradiol.2.Compared with oral eszopiclone,the treatment based on the theory of "Liver and kidney being of the same source" can significantly improve the patient’s sleep disorder,feverishness of the five hearts,weakness of the waist and knees,dizziness and tinnitus,hot flushes and sweating,irritability and related perimenopausal symptoms.It also has the advantage of being green and safe and is worthy of clinical application.
