Objectives:To investigate the clinical efficacy and postoperative complications of ultrasound-guided laser closure of perforating veins in the treatment of venous ulcer of lower extremities. Methods:The clinical data of 52 patients with venous ulcers of lower extremities admitted from the vascular surgery department of Tongling People’s Hospital from February 2021 to February 2022 were collected and analyzed. The follow-up was conducted at 1,2,4,8 and 16 weeks after the operation, including the ulcer area, healing time, and whether there were adverse events(postoperative pain, nerve injury, superficial phlebitis, deep venous thrombosis, skin changes,infection,etc.).Results:1.The mean operation time in the experimental group was 16 minutes longer than that in the control group, considering the existence of learning curve in the operation of puncturing through the perforating vein,In addition,it takes time to obtain a complete ultrasound image during laser closure.2.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in the general situation and the ulcer area. When the ulcer area was < 3cm2,the ulcer healing time of the experimental group and the control group was shorter, but when the ulcer area was ≥3cm2,the healing time of the experimental group was shorter, with statistical difference(P < 0.05).3.After regular follow-up,the pain score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group in the first 2weeks(P < 0.05).4.The occurrence of postoperative adverse events was less in the experimental group, but not statistically significant with the control group. Conclusions:Laser closure of perforating venous under ultrasound guidance is an effective treatment for venous leg ulcer extremities, which can effectively accelerate the healing of ulcer, and has the advantages of less trauma, less bleeding and less postoperative adverse reactions. However, this requires clinicians to be skilled in the use of ultrasound, and it is difficult to capture appropriate ultrasound images during the puncture process to observe the intraoperative treatment process. It may take a long time at the beginning, but the time will be reduced with the proficiency of skills.
