The growth of social platforms has broadened the channels for public voice, and health,as an important issue that has always been a focus of attention,is one of the topics of online discussion.Public expression can compensate for the inadequacy of official discourse and provide a folk perspective for various health issues. At the same time, social platforms use technical attributes to focus on people with common characteristics, providing them with sufficient discourse space. The gathered group can not only receive online help and support through autonomous voice production, but also improve the visibility and social recognition of the group. The issue of quitting smoking is a classic issue in health communication.Compared to other health issues, the contradiction between "smoking" and "quitting smoking" has been controversial.Even though media reports and public welfare propaganda have made "smoking is harmful to health" deeply rooted in people’s hearts, the social effect of quitting smoking still has little effect. The "Healthy China Action(2019-2030)" sets out clear requirements for tobacco control actions. However, due to the deep-rooted nature of tobacco socializing in China, offline smoking cessation behavior is prone to difficulties. Therefore, online presentation has become an important outlet for smoking cessation groups.Based on the analysis of the content of self presentation of smoking cessation groups on Weibo and interviews with this group,it is found that recorded self presentation can help smoking cessation groups overcome real-life dilemmas and bring certain social support effects. This social support effect has similar communication characteristics in online platform discussions on health, and discussions on online platforms can be used to improve social health levels. At the same time, the records of smoking cessation groups present a "single dimension",that is,they focus on "self" on social media and build a personal small world on a large online platform. This also reveals that online recording behavior of smoking cessation groups is more about seeking social support than providing social support. And smoking cessation groups can indeed obtain informational and emotional social support from online platforms, especially emotional support. The content presented online is also threatened by false health information and consumerism. The interaction of smoking cessation groups still focuses on the circle of acquaintances in the real society, and online interaction is mainly passive. And smoking cessation groups rely on recording behavior to achieve the purpose of interacting with software, and this unilateral mechanical interaction has become the most important form of interaction. In interactions with others, the intensity of interactions such as likes and comments is not significant,large-scale discussions on individual microblogs rarely occur, and interactions within groups are not strong. Therefore,it is also difficult to transform effective practical support into growth.Based on all of the above,if the public wants to achieve health goals, the mass media can indeed play a role of practical assistance. However,in the face of a complex network environment, government agencies such as local provincial and municipal health associations,in conjunction with local health promotion centers, and other official entities,in the form of new media, can act as the information support subject of online platforms through fun activities and fun publicity; The platform needs to improve the environment to provide a more visible online community for health seekers; The most important thing is that health seekers presenting online should step out of their online self sealing mentality and use the network aggregation function to actively obtain social support from the online community.
