Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction In Treating Upper Airway Cough Syndrome Of Wind-heat And Dampness Type

Objective: By observing the clinical efficacy of "Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction" combined with conventional Western medicine in the treatment of wind-heat and dampness upper airway cough syndrome,this subject hopes to provide new diagnosis and treatment ideas for the treatment of upper airway cough syndrome by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.Methods: A total of 72 patients with upper airway cough syndrome with wind-heat and dampness were selected from the respiratory Department of Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to January 2023.They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 36 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine,while the control group was treated with conventional Western medicine.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.TCM syndrome score,cough degree score(CET),cough visual analog score(VAS)of the two groups were recorded before and after treatment,and symptom improvement was understood through data analysis before and after and between groups.One month after the course of treatment,the recurrence situation was determined according to the change of TCM syndrome score.Result:1.General data: A total of 69 patients meeting the diagnostic criteria were included in this study,including 34 patients in the treatment group and 35 patients in the control group.There was no statistical significance in age,gender,course of disease and scores of symptoms before treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.2.Analysis of therapeutic effect(1)Comparison of the efficacy of TCM syndrome: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.12%,and that of the control group was 74.29%.The results showed that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P <0.05).The results of comparison between the two groups showed that the scores and total scores of TCM syndroms in the two groups were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment(P < 0.05),and the symptoms of the disease could be improved by the treatment schemes in both groups.Comparison between the two groups: the treatment group was better than the control group in the improvement of cough,sputum,nasal congestion,postnasal drip and throat clearing symptoms(P < 0.05),but there were no significant differences between the two groups in the symptoms and signs of runny nose,pharyngeal itching,nasal itching,posterior pharyngeal wall and follicles in the root of the tongue(P >0.05).(2)Comparison of cough degree score(CET): Comparison of results between groups showed that the improvement of cough symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The results of intra-group comparison showed that CET scores of the two groups were lower after treatment than before treatment,indicating that both groups could relieve cough symptoms,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The results showed that the treatment of wind-heat moisture-squeezed upper airway cough syndrome was effective in both groups,and the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(3)Comparison of visual analogue scores(VAS)of cough: VAS scores of both groups were lower after treatment than before treatment,indicating that both groups could alleviate cough symptoms(P < 0.05),and the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,the difference was significant(P < 0.05).Recurrence assessment: 1 month after the end of treatment,there were 8 cases of relapse in the treatment group and 13 cases in the control group.The recurrence situation in the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the recurrence rate in the treatment group was significantly reduced compared with the control group.Conclusion:1.The curative effect of Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine in the treatment of wind-heat-clamp-dampness UACS is superior to conventional Western medicine alone.2.Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine is superior to conventional Western medicine in reducing the recurrence rate of the disease.3.Cangsang Xuanfei Tongqiao Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine treatment has good effect,high drug safety,and can be popularized in clinical application.
