Objective: Elderly patients with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection have a higher incidence of gastric mucosal atrophy and intestinalization, which are important risk factors for the development of gastric cancer.Routine gastroscopy or inadequate preparation for the examination is highly likely to result in missed diagnoses. Therefore, through the analysis of the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of streptavidin granules in Hp-infected elderly patients with fine gastroscopy, the value of streptavidin granules in Hp-infected elderly patients with fine gastroscopy was evaluated to provide reference for clinical promotion and application. Methods: From January 2022 to March 2023,194 elderly patients with Hp infection in the inpatient and outpatient departments of the Department of Gastroenterology of Yichun People’s Hospital were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into two groups:92 in the experimental group, streptavidin granules 20,000 U + 1 g sodium bicarbonate and dimethylsilylate suspension in water were dissolved with 70 mL of warm boiled water 20-60 min before the examination and given 10 min before the examination. In the control group,89 people were given only dimethicone oil and dacronin hydrochloride syrup. The number of rinsing, gastroscopy operation time, doctor’s satisfaction with the effect of gastroscopy, patients’ adverse reactions after medication and patients’ willingness to repeat again were recorded during gastroscopy, and the data were statistically analyzed by spss27.0 software. Results:The test group was better than the control group in terms of total endoscopic gastric mucosal visual field clarity score, visual field clarity score of all parts of the gastric mucosa(except the cardia),and overall gastric mucosal visual field cleanliness score, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05);the test group was better than the control group in terms of gastric mucosal morphology, determination of atrophy and intestinal status, determination of microscopic lesions in terms of microsurface morphology, microvascular structure and boundary, and detection rate of early gastric cancer(P < 0.05).The differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05);the number of times of fine gastroscopy rinsing, the time of fine gastroscopy, and the satisfaction of doctors with the effect of fine gastroscopy were all better in the experimental group than in the control group(P < 0.05);the differences in the incidence of adverse reactions after medication were not statistically significant(P > 0.05);the willingness of patients who first underwent fine gastroscopy to repeat the original protocol was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group(P < 0.05).The willingness of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Streptavidin granules have a comprehensive effect of removing foam and mucus in the fine inspection gastroscopy of Hp-infected elderly patients, which can improve the clarity and cleanliness of the gastric field of view of patients, increase the detection rate of microscopic lesions, precancerous lesions and early gastric cancer in the stomach, effectively shorten the fine inspection time and improve patient satisfaction.2.Streptavidin granules are an ideal, efficient and safe gastric mucosal cleanser, which has high application value in the fine inspection gastroscopy of Hp-infected elderly patients and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
