An Empirical Study On Strengthening The Political Identity Of Medical Students In The Context Of The Fight Against The Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic

Political identity is an important issue related to people’s will,political legitimacy and long-term peace and stability of the country and society.Who to train people,what kind of people to cultivate,how to train people,has always been a fundamental question that colleges and universities must answer,"medical education is an important cornerstone of the development of health care",how to cultivate good doctors trusted by the party and the people,is a major issue that medical education needs to answer and focus on solving.The political identity of medical students is directly related to the political value orientation,purpose and service consciousness and professional ethics of medical students,which is related to the future development of China’s medical and health undertakings,and is also an important indicator to test the effectiveness of ideological and political education and the quality of talent training in medical schools.In the face of the unprecedented new crown pneumonia epidemic in a century,the group of medical students are first-hand witnesses and practitioners of the fight against the epidemic,and making good use of the valuable educational resource of "anti-epidemic spirit" is a powerful measure to improve the effectiveness of medical students’ political identity education.This study takes the fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic as the background,takes medical students as the research object,and cultivates and strengthens the political identity of medical students as the basis,and refines the political identity into four aspects: "theoretical identity,political party identity,institutional identity,and effectiveness identity".Through literature combing,expert interviews and other forms,self-made questionnaires,taking medical colleges in Sichuan as research samples,using Marxist materialist historical outlook and epistemological viewpoint,from the three dimensions of "identity subject,identity object,identity mediator",comprehensively understand and analyze the political identity of medical students,on the basis of drawing on the basic experience of the Communist Party of China in the construction of political identity in the past century,through the comparison of China and the United States against the epidemic,deeply analyze the positive changes,existing problems and reasons behind the political identity of medical students.Focusing on how to strengthen medical students’ recognition of Marxist theory,the Communist Party of China,socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the ruling performance of the Communist Party of China,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for the reference of medical schools and education management departments.
