Reliability And Validity Of Chinese Version Of The Questionnaire For Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy 20-item

Objective:The purpose of this study is to conduct a reliability and validity test of the CIPN20 questionnaire in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy,to provide a tool and basis for evaluating the CIPN symptoms of Chinese cancer patients as well as formulating intervention measures.Methods:Authorized by the European Cancer Organization,the CIPN20 questionnaire was translated,back-translated and cross-cultural according to the Brislin translation model.Thirty cases of research subjects were selected for pre-experiment to determine the Chinese version of the CIPN20 questionnaire.Convenience sampling method was used to select 310 cancer patients at the Department of Oncology of Affiliated Hospital of Chinese Medical University from November 2021 to December 2022,analyzed the data by Epidata3.1/SPSS25.0/Amos26.0 software.Correlation analysis and critical ratio method were used for project analysis;at the same time,using internal consistency and retest reliability evaluated the reliability of the Chinese version questionnaire,using content validity,structure validity and calibration correlation validity evaluated the validity of the Chinese version questionnaire.Results:1.In this study,310 questionnaires were issued,and the effective recovery 0f the questionnaires was 300,and the effective recovery rate was 96.8%;the English version of the CIPN20 questionnaire was localized,and the Chinese version of the CIPN20questionnaire contained a total of 16 items.2.Item analysis:the critical value ratio method showed that the t-test statistic for each entry was significant(P<0.01),only the correlation coefficient of the item 14 was 0.205with the total score of the questionnaire,and the correlation coefficient of the remaining items ranged from 0.415～0.748(P<0.01)with the total score of the questionnaire.Therefore,only item 14 was deleted.3.Validity analysis:The Scale Content Validity Index of questionnaire was 0.95,the Item Content Validity Index was from 0.83～1.00.The third exploratory factor analysis extracted three common factors after deleting item 13、15 and 18,and a cumulative total variance contribution of 72.627.The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the modified three-factors model had a good data fitting degree.The goodness-of-fitting index wereχ~2/df=1.638,RMSEA=0.057,CFI=0.943,GFI=0.914,RMR=0.024,AGFI=0.877,TLI=0.929.Using the QLQ-C30 questionnaire as a criterion-related tool,the criterion-related validity with the QLQ-C30 questionnaire was 0.361(P<0.01).The Cronbach’αcoefficient of the questionnaire was 0.911,and the Cronbach’αcoefficients of three dimensions ranged from 0.823～0.963;retest reliability was 0.856.Conclusions:The Chinese version of CIPN16 questionnaire has a good reliability and validity in Chinese cancer patients consisting of 16 items and 3 dimensions,and the number of questionnaire items and evaluation time are moderate,which can provide effective measurement tools and theoretical basis for future status investigation and intervention research.
