Objective: The clinical data of patients with sporotrichosis and swimming pool granuloma in northeast China were retrospectively analyzed, and the clinical characteristics and differences of the two diseases were compared, analyzed and summarized,in order to strengthen the understanding of sporotrichosis and swimming pool granuloma, and improve the accuracy of clinical diagnosis and success rate of treatment.Method: From January 2020 to January 2022,36 patients with sporothrix disease diagnosed in the dermatology Department of the First Hospital of China Medical University were collected, and 53 patients with swimming pool granuloma during the same period were collected. The basic characteristics, clinical manifestations, laboratory indexes and treatment outcomes of the two groups were analyzed and compared. All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS25.0.Results: 1.The average time from onset to diagnosis is about 6 months.Sporotrichosis patients mostly live in rural areas, and most of them occur in farmers. Most of the patients with swimming pool granuloma lived in cities and towns, and were mainly housewives and aquatic practitioners. The injuries were caused by aquatic organisms, which was higher than sporotrichosis.2.Sporotrichosis is more common in hand and face, and swimming pool granuloma occurs in upper limb or hand;Mixed lesions were predominant,Sporotrichosis had a higher proportion of rashes shaped plaques, and swimming pool granulomatous nodules were more common.3.The histopathologic difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the sporotrichosis group was characterized by palisade granuloma,neutrophil-centered suppurative granuloma and tuberculous granuloma with caseous necrosis; The histopathology of a swimming pool granuloma is an exudative, necrotic infectious granuloma and a tuberculous granuloma without caseous necrosis.4.The treatment of sporotrichosis was mainly10% potassium iodide or itraconazole, and the treatment of swimming pool granuloma was mainly clarithromycin. The average treatment duration was about 3 months, and the cure rate was high. Conclusion: 1.The gender composition, average age of onset, time from onset to diagnosis and treatment time of patients with the two diseases were basically similar, but there were differences in residence area, occupation, predisposing factors, prone sites and rash morphology.2.The histopathological manifestations of the two diseases are mainly infectious granuloma, but there are differences in the composition of inflammatory cells in the granuloma.
