Objective: To investigate the general situation, distribution of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types, and quality of life scores of male asthenozoospermia patients through clinical cross-sectional surveys and questionnaire surveys. The aim is to understand the differences in the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types and quality of life among patients, and to explore relevant factors related to syndrome types and quality of life.Method: Patients who met the inclusion criteria and were collected from the outpatient departments of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were divided into a weak sperm group and a non weak sperm group.A questionnaire survey was conducted on the general situation, quality of life, and diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types of the two groups of patients.Result: The distribution of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in asthenozoospermia is mainly characterized by deficiency of both qi and yin and deficiency of kidney essence, while liver blood deficiency is rare. There was a statistically significant difference between the weak sperm group and the non weak sperm group in terms of total score of reproductive quality of life, marital relationship, and treatment environment(P<0.05);The overall scores of environmental quality and reproductive quality of life in males with asthenospermia aged ≤ 33 years were higher than those in males with asthenospermia aged>33 years(P<0.05);The score of reproductive quality of life in men with no history of asthenospermia was higher than that in men with a history of asthenospermia(P<0.05);The liver blood deficiency in the asthenozoospermia group was significantly correlated with past disease history and alcohol consumption, while in the non asthenozoospermia group, there was a significant correlation between liver blood deficiency and BMI(P<0.05);There was a significant correlation between spleen yang deficiency and smoking in non asthenozoospermic group males(P<0.05);There is a significant correlation between renal insufficiency and past disease history in the asthenozoospermia group, while in the non asthenozoospermia group, there is a significant correlation between renal insufficiency and alcohol consumption and physical exercise(P<0.05);There was a significant correlation(P<0.05)between excessive dampness in the spleen and alcohol consumption in the asthenozoospermia group. Conclusion: The distribution of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in asthenozoospermia is mainly characterized by deficiency of both qi and yin and deficiency of kidney essence;Patients with weak sperm have poor overall quality of life in three dimensions: total score of reproductive quality of life, marital relationship, and treatment environment.Among them, patients with dampness and spleen deficiency syndrome have the worst overall quality of life compared to other evaluation dimensions, and patients with kidney deficiency have poorer living conditions compared to patients with qi and yin deficiency; The treatment environment and overall quality of life for young men with asthenozoospermia are better than those for older men with asthenozoospermia;Men with no history of disease and asthenozoospermia have better reproductive quality of life than men with a history of disease and asthenozoospermia; The liver blood deficiency syndrome in patients with weak sperm is related to past diseases and alcohol consumption; The onset of kidney essence deficiency syndrome is related to past disease history; The syndrome of excessive dampness and spleen stagnation is related to a history of drinking alcohol; There is no significant correlation between Qi Yin deficiency syndrome and spleen Yang deficiency syndrome.
