Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics of Tibetan pregnant women complicated with anemia in Tibet region,and to compare and analyze whether there are significant differences in the pregnancy outcome between Tibetan pregnant women complicated with anemia and normal pregnant women without complications,so as to provide more favorable reference for strengthening the pregnancy examination and health awareness of pregnant women in Tibet Plateau region and improving the neonatal pregnancy outcome.Methods: A total of 974 Tibetan pregnant women diagnosed with anemia during pregnancy admitted to the Obstetrics inpatient Department of the People’s Hospital of Tibet Autonomous Region from 2013 to 2022 were searched.The general situation(age,yield,education level,occupation type,production awareness)and eating habits(drinking butter tea,sweet tea,eating zanba,eating raw meat,vegan)of all pregnant women were analyzed retrospectively.Blood samples were taken for detection,and the peripheral blood hemoglobin < 110g/L and blood cell volume < 0.33;According to hemoglobin level,they were divided into group A,mild anemia(100 ~109g/L);Group B,moderate anemia(70-99 g /L);Group C,severe anemia(40-69 g /L)and very severe anemia(< 40g/L).For anemia patients,iron supplements such as oral polysaccharide iron complex,intravenous infusion of iron sucrose and blood products were taken according to the specific conditions.In addition,200 newborns of the abovementioned anemic Tibetan pregnant women were selected as the study group,and the same number of newborns without other complications,general conditions,eating habits and hospitalization period were selected as the control group.The pregnancy outcomes of premature birth,low body weight infants,fetal distress and neonatal asphyxia of the two groups were retrospectively analyzed and compared.Results:Among 974 Tibetan pregnant women with anemia,There were significant differences in the incidence of anemia among women in pregnancy with different ages,different production times,different education levels,different occupational types and different production awareness(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the incidence of anemia among women in pregnancy with different drinking butter tea and sweet tea,different eating of zanba and raw meat,and different vegan diet(P<0.05)).In addition,by comparison,there were significant differences in the incidence of low birth weight,fetal distress and neonatal asphyxia among the newborns of Tibetan pregnant women with anemia in the study group(hereafter referred to as the anemia group)compared with those in the control group(hereafter referred to as the non-anemia group).There was no significant difference in the incidence of preterm birth between the two groups(P > 0.05).
